Greetings from Nashville TN!

I started writing to pen pals way back in the 80s when I first put an ad in Tiger Beat magazine (shows you how old I am). Things have changed in the snail mail world since then but I’m still writing! I started writing some of my current pen friends about 25-30 years ago.

I’m working on my southpaw cursive writing (which USED to be nice) after many years of printing and typing. So I have a small collection of fountain pens and inks for this purpose (not to mention more gel pens than I will ever need) but it is certainly a work in progress. I LOVE pencils, especially how they smell!

Interests:

postcards - favorites include city scenes, historical sites, maps, culture specific to your country, bridges, parks, nature, films, music, art, and vintage photos.

Hobbies: I’m a class junkie and I’m ALWAYS learning something new. You’re never too old after all. My main hobbies include playing the cello (sounds much fancier than my actual skill level), film and instant photography (medium format and alternative processing), art journaling, bookmaking, and cooking Mexican food.

Other interests: board games, reading/listening to books (although I’m picky about audiobook narration so I prefer to read),, films (sci-fi, drama, British, international), music (70s/80s, electronic, movie scores, classical), loitering in museums, yoga, Pilates, road trips, and I hike when I can.

I love coffee and tea and I see there are some tea swaps on here. Preferences would be more herbal and less traditional black teas.
