I'm adding this update to the top of my "about me" just to be sure you know! I won't be joining swaps very often this summer due to other obligations but will definitely join up again in the fall. I will still jump in when I can! Happy Swapping!!!

Hi - I'm new to swap-bot but think I will enjoy it! Turning 60 this year and feeling all the freedom that comes with being "young":o)

I was born and "raised" in Texas, met my husband in Maryland and moved to Michigan. I've lived in Michigan 41 years but my heart still belongs to Texas!

The middle of 3 sisters - we are all pretty crafty and love to collect things. In 2009 we went on the World's Longest Garage Sale to celebrate my older sister's 60th birthday. 5 days and 7 states...Whoot!!!

I've been married 41 years and have a son and daughter (daughter turns 40 this year...yikes!). My "kids" were born 11 months apart so it was like having twins!!!

I'm recently retired after being employed forever! and enjoying every free minute! I don't even mind the snowed in days at home!

Enjoy gardening and fishing - currently learning how to organic garden. And, I love anything crafty! Matter of fact, I can go into my craft room and forget all about everything!!!

I'm a Red Hatter - Princess LuLu - the greatest group of women on the planet!!! And, since my favorite color is purple it fits right in to the Red Hatters' purple clothes and red hats. I have a "collection" of red hats - 7 to-date! If it has feathers, ribbon or lace I love it:o)

Love all kinds of music but especially love anything by Celtic Woman. My daughter took me to see them perform live at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Their music moves me to tears!!

Also like country music - Toby Keith, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, Reba McIntire and most others.

I like rock - Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow's duet is beautiful!

About the only music I don't appreciate is Blues and Jazz. I guess because it seems sad.

I mostly read newspapers and magazines but love reading crafting books. I like cooking magazines focusing on healthy eating or gardening.

I also enjoy crafting and jewerly making books and magazines.

I collect hardcover cookbooks - love Taste of Home cookbooks! Especially the Holiday related ones. I've been to the Taste of Home Cooking School twice and it was FUN!!

Have few Martha Stewart books and love them!

My favorite movie type is comedy! Make me laugh!!

Loved all the Star Trek, Star Wars and Battle Ship Gallatic movies. And, Avatar is a favorite.

Some of my favorite movies are - Chocolat, Fried Green Tomatoes, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Julie & Julia, Day After Yesterday, Night in the Museum - to name a few. I love to watch my favorties over and over!

I spend way too much time watching tv! I like cooking and gardening shows, Say Yes To The Dress, home improvement and decorating.

Also like watching the news to keep up on events.

I love making jewerly and have sold items at local craft shows. I make my own one-of-a-kind designs. I enjoy making hat pins for my Red Hat Chapter and selling at craftshows.

Also make greeting cards and memory/scrapbook cookbooks. The cookbooks contain family pictures, stories and recipes.

I sew and do other various crafts. If I see it and I like it then I do it! Currently working on "fake" cupcakes - they are really cute under the glass dome of my cake plate!!!! And, NO calories!!!

I love scavengering flea markets and resale shops - adding to my collection of items is always fun!

I collect Christmas village items and vintage ornaments, tiny china bowls (I use them to hold beads for projects I'm working on), cookbooks of all kinds, old buttons of all sorts and pretty lace and ribbon.

If you saw my craft room you'd think I collected paper but REALLY...what's wrong with pretty paper?

I love dark chocolate but will eat milk chocolate - don't like gummy anything:o)

My favorite foods are chicken, pizza and bread! I recently got a new bread maker and am enjoying making wholegrain breads.

I love fresh strawberries from my garden - hubby built me a raised bed garden just for strawberries - 17 ft long by 4 ft wide. Love homemade strawberry jam!

Please don't send me the following items -

cutesy kid stuff (stickers, ribbon or other things that are appropriate for children) We just don't have young children in our family and I don't create crafts for children.

prefer not receiving any food related items (except for dark chocolate:o) yum -

and, no perfumed or scented items (allergies)
