Hello! I’m new to Swap-bot, and very excited to start swapping and making some new friends! I happened upon Swap-bot when I followed the link from an artist who had framed a series of inchies. I loved the idea of making and swapping inchies, and discovered this place where creative folks from all over can swap just about anything- how cool! I am really enjoying making ATC's- I find that joining a swap, and therefore having 'an assignment' really motivates me to create!

My name is Diane and I am 42 years old. I was a Navy brat, so I got to live in different places like Hawaii (where I was born) and Germany (where we lived for 4 years.) I've also traveled to Japan, Australia, Ecuador, the Galapagos, Egypt, Israel, Greece and Austria. I acquired a love of the culture and art of each place I visited. I lived in arctic Alaska for 11 years, and then moved to the mountains of western North Carolina. I love my home here, and particularly enjoy the fall season- I missed that when I lived in Alaska (there are no trees in the Arctic!)

I have lots of neat things to share and swap. I love photography, scrapbooking, collage and fiber arts. I am a very dependable person, and promise to always send out my swaps. I would not have signed up if I wasn’t committed to following through. I hope to never disappoint anyone, but if anything is ever late, please let me know and I will do my best to make you happy. I also promise to follow through with ratings, and hope to receive the same.

Currently, I'm into making ATC's, folded paper stars, and glitter houses. I've also done crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, Hawaiian quilting, traditional quilting, photo quilting, lauhala weaving, origami cranes and ornaments, beaded jewelry, painting (watercolor, oils, acrylics, airbrush) drawing (pencil, charcoal, pen and ink), fimo clay flowers and Christmas ornaments, decoupage, scherenschnitte (German papercutting) and pysanky (Ukrainian egg decorating).
