i have been called 'hippie, nature girl, yoga chic, gypsy, rock worshipper, tree hugger, granola girl, artist, writer, singer, photographer, teacher, daughter, sister, friend, wife and mom.'(and probably some other things that i didnt hear!)
my name is angela. i am a stay at home mom. i am hardly ever home.

things i love:
unschooling my two beautiful daughters and anything to do with natural learning, trips to the zoo or museum or farm, yoga, vintage things that remind me of when i was a little girl(late 70s/early 80s), airstream/retro travel trailers, old style trucks, farmers markets, traveling. i love all things hand made, especially nature themed, i love all the cuter than cute stuffies that are on flickr and etsy, i love learning about other cultures, i love the new oriental styles(the little kimono girls) i love natural anything(natural materials, nature themes, (especially anything to do with trees or birds and most recently in love with owls), natural foods(love sushi and fruits and veggies), mommas and babies of anything(dolls, animals, trees, mushrooms(adore red and white mushrooms), i love recycled/repurposed materials, especially vintage stuff. i guess mostly my style is very natural and playful. i am a nature girl, not so much a girly girl.

it sounds like i like just about everything doesnt it? well, lets see... things i dont like: lacey frilly froofroo victorian style stuff is not really my thing. i like to keep things a little more natural. basically if it has to do with nature or other cultures, especially folkart type stuff, i will love it!

i am a huge DAN ZANES fan lately! introduced by my kids, but it is definitely love!! i love folky, acoustic, fun music. impromptu sing-alongs, and good old fashioned instrument basket jam sessions! (we have a basket full of toy/and real instruments in the living room) ((although i think even a 'toy' instrument would qualify as a 'real' instrument. hey, if a spoon can be an instrument...))

also, the lovely, soon-to-be-famous jodi schexnaydre (you can find her on myspace and listen to some of her originals, she is AMAZING!)

other music i love: bob marley, sean paul, 311, the weepies, mazzy starr, the typical 'chick' singers, jewel, alanis morisette, sarah mclaughlin, natalie merchant, etc. oldies/big band music, new age/meditation music

i am pretty new to crafting, but i am in love with anything and everything crafty and arsty-fartsy! i have always loved to do anything that involves creative energy, so i am hoping to become a seasoned crafter pretty soon with the help of swap deadlines!

i am really into anything vintage/recycled/repurposed materials and natural stuff

i dont get to watch too much tv that isnt the viewing choice of either my 1yr old (dan zanes or baby einstein movies) or my 7yr old (animal planet or discovery channel); but hey, i'm not complaining. these two little geniuses can watch all the 'educational' stuff they want to. i would probably get rid of the tv's in the house if it were just me. don't get me wrong now, i can get sucked in to a 24 hour 'top chef' marathon with the best of them, which is exactly why i would throw them out! i just think tv has a tendency to suck your life away from you while you get lazy and unhealthy, so BE VERY AFRAID!!!!(hehe)
