I am a grandmother to three beautiful granddaughters whom I spend as much time as possible with. I work full-time as a Computer Education Assistant, working with students in grades K-4. I'm very happily married to my high-school sweetheart.

My hobbies include reading, traveling, sewing, and decorative painting. Sometimes I dabble in other crafts such as jewelry making and scrapbooking.

My husband and I travel to many lighthouses in the U.S., U.K. and Canada. We also help to restore them through a lighthouse organization we belong to, the Chesapeake Chapter of the United States Lighthouse Society. I am also on the Executive Board of the World Lighthouse Society (www.worldlighthouses.org) which is based in the U.K., and I belong to several other lighthouse organizations interested in lighthouse preservation and restoration. I've also had several articles published in lighthouse publications.

I collect lighthouse books and postcards. Although I do enjoy scenic postcards, I much prefer those displaying lighthouses. Unfortunately the closest lighthouse is an hour's drive away, so I have to wait until I visit areas that have lighthouses to purchase postcards for my stockpile.
