Hello, It is so fun to discover this website and begin writing letters. As far back as I can remember I have enjoyed writing letters and receiving them. I am a writer. At the present I have one book in the process. The first draft is almost done and now the work of finding an editor, publisher and all the details that go into the book being published and for sale. It is exciting.

I have many interests. Gardening, cooking, baking, crafts of all kinds, painting, works of art, going to art museums. I live near Chicago so I often go to Art Institute.

Travel is very important to me. I have been to 45 states in the US and many places out of the US. I have been to Europe and enjoyed the people and cultures I visited.

Geneology is another of my many interests. I had my DNA done and found cultural backgrounds I had no idea I am apart of.

I am studying Spanish again. It was part of my earlier education and I did not have opportunity to really use it and I have lost much of what I learned however I have returned to being able to speak and use this language which is part of my culture.

Cooking for me is an adventure. I like to find new recipes each week and cook them. Baking is another hobby. Every month I find a new recipe to bake and share with others.

Technology is not a priority for me. I use the computer on a need to use basis. I like to meet people face to face. I enjoy researching for recipes new ideas new crafts. Places to travel. My phone does talk and text.

I am responsible and will return letters promptly. I like to share poetry, books, nature. I bird watch. One of my grandchildren has Asbergers and he's bird watched with me along with others who like to watch wait and listen.

One of my cultures is Finland and the national instrument is a Kantele. I made this instrument and hope to play well one day.

I am married with children and grandchildren. I hope this gives you an idea of my interests and who I am. I look forward to connecting.
