I am a 34 year old artist, activist, birth doula, vegan, zinester, and serial entrepreneur. I'm queer, fat, feminist, strong, and silly. I dream big and I play hard. Feel free to unload the obscene and obscure on me, there is a big place in my heart for the misfits of our world. I definitely lean toward to free spirit punk lifestyle.

I am happily married to my partner of 11 years! Someday there will be children with her impossible eyes and my impossible attitude.

For money I run two online boutiques, moonlight at my wife's production accounting firm, and take the odd graphic/web design job. To give back, I am a birth doula, a member of the Nashville Feminist Collective, and an active community activist. To feed my soul, I’m an artist and I make zines.

I dream of someday running an event space or a bed and breakfast, creating a birth education/resource space, writing a book, and teaching.

I am a mixed media artist, as in I like to mix paint, drawing, and other art mediums in each thing I make.

I started making and trading atc's about 15 years ago through a now defunct mail art site called nervousness.org. I traded strictly with people who considered themselves artists for years, until I joined swapbot in 2007. I have a very purist point of view about artist trading cards in that they were meant to be miniature works of art, created with raw materials, with the aim to incite an emotional reaction. Some of my older atc's can be seen on my flickr and newer updates are on instagram.

I enjoy sketching faces, drawing cute owls, layering silhouettes, collaging with my own photos printed on labels, zine making, altered books, journaling, print making, carving stamps, knitting, and sewing weird creatures.

There is nothing more beautiful or freeing in this world to me, than a huge desk filled with ephemera, paints, inks and piles of magazines. Some people look at the world and see junk in the randomness; I see possibility. I am dedicated to beautiful decay, inspired by street art, and addicted to cut + paste.

I collect... photos with sunbursts + paper punchers + enamel pins + wooden or metal numbers + t shirts (xl) + big eye statues + polaroids/instax photos + rubber stamps + postcards that advertise movies.

colors... mint green is my favorite. I also love yellow, coral, metallic gold, and teal.

I dig... pocket letters, tarot, the moon, japanese toys, food kawaii, coney island, freak shows, anatomy, medical oddities, nyc, indie culture and music, thrift stores and record stores, find street art truly inspiring, and always have a few diy projects going on around my house.

I love making mixes and trading them with people. I’m into a wide range of genres, but mainstays are modest mouse, atmosphere, otis redding, iron and wine, the rolling stones, michael franti, the kills, metric, massive attack, tegan and sara, belle and sebastian, rodrigo y gabriela, the xx, m.i.a., the decemberists, florence + the machine, her space holiday, weezer, arcade fire and anything Karen O touches.

I love magazines about art, crafts, graphic design, architecture, tattoo culture, street art, cooking, and photography. Back issues of high end design/photography magazines are most welcome, as well as juxtapoz, ready made, interview, curve, beautiful decay, and paper.

I like modern art, street art, abstract, dadaism, mail art, pop art, graphic art, assemblage, and illustration. I say mix all the media. While I can appreciate the forms, I'm not so into impressionism, landscape/portraits from back in the day, or anything too classic.

Favorite artists include frida kahlo, jeff soto, mark ryden, picasso, swoon, andy warhol, basquiat, mark rothko, audrey kawasaki.
