hi, i'm hope, known by most as hetty :]

• i'm a born and bred milton keynes-ian (in SE england). i love living here but my dream in life is to live by bondi beach.

• a small portion of things i like:

painting, doodling, reading, movie-watching, picnics in the sun with friends, chats in starbucks and costa over fraps and coffee, listening to my ipod, reading gossip magazines (i am an unashamed worshipper of celebrity culture), sunbathing, working hard, hot bubbly baths, a good bar of chocolate and a sweet cup of tea

• i work part-time in a book shop and i'm a complete grammar geek. i really dislike improper use of punctuation; it just irks me.

• names are also a big obsession of mine. i can't stand when i hear people shouting 'kaydyn' and 'mckenzie' at their kids! classics are always better when it comes to names.

• i'm an avid sims 2 player + i'm mega excited for the sims 3 next year.

• the colours i like most are cadbury's purple, teal/turquoise, pink, brown + lime green. the only colour i really don't like is orange.

i will listen to almost anything - kimya dawson, operator please, regina spektor, fiona apple, spoon, jimmy eat world, belle + sebastian, the rocket summer, vanessa carlton, julia nunes, rufus wainright, siobhan donaghy, duffy, the smiths, say anything, noah and the whale, rent ost, tilly and the wall, tegan and sara, ben folds, journey, imogen heap (and generally any 'angry girl music of the indie-rock persuasion' ;])

• cutesy envelopes (i am in DIRE NEED of some that are not white or manilla! although i did find some very cute bright ones in paperchase)

little notebooks (think mini moleskines), cute/funny stationery, 50s pinups, lush, vespa themed things, CANDY!, hello kitty, cute + funny song lyrics and quotes, monokuro boo, pocky, sharpies, postcards + things to stick on my bedroom walls, wax crayons + chunky felt pens (good quality only please :])

anything religious, scrapbook stickers, stuff that smells strongly of cigarette smoke, anything with little/no thought put into it
