I took a short break from swapping for a while, I am back and have updated my profile.

I am a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, now retired. ;0 Staying home and it has been an adjustment, but I am really starting to enjoy it, at first it was hard to relax after working all my life not having to be some place at a certain time ....

I live 2 miles from the place I grew up as a child. I love that, but dislike seeing the things I remember such as the orchard and farm land turned into residential neighborhoods.
I love all types of music except heavy metal, rap and hiphop. Depends on the mood I am in as to which I am listening to that day. Love to read, suspense, and romance, like Nicholos Sparks and John Grisham. I have read the Hunger Games series, and Divergent series (just to keep up with my granddaughters ;) Favorite old movies are Gone with the Wind, and Singing in the Rain. I haven't been to the movie theater in a while.

  I am a  true fan of Downton Abbey, and Doc Martin, and like to watch, Nashville, Dancing with the Stars and BlueBloods.  

I am still collecting postcards and would love one from every state. With the states name on it. I only have a few so far, I have Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Indiana, Oklahoma, Alaska, Pennsylvania, California, Nebraska, Hawaii, New York, Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Texas & Colorado ..... Thank you savannasmiles for Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio,and Mississippi. only 32 states to go :)
It would be great to collect them all. I will up date my list if I get new ones. :)
My favorite thing to do is garden, flowers and vegies, and fruits though I do not have enough yard for fruit trees. Blueberries and Strawberries ... I want to put in Raspberries someday soon.

I love trying new types of tea, and have a favorite tea place in Tulsa, OK. My Sister and I are close, so we go there quite often after shopping.
I have 5 chickens, SnowBird, Brownie, Sandie, Myrtel, and Gustiphore The rooster that reside in my back yard pen, and 2 very spoiled house cats, MissyMae QuestionMarkTail and AllieLouise TippyTail.
My yard though small is a natural habitat for all creatures, birds, box turtles, lizzards, bunnies, even the occasional opossum, raccoon and a bobcat now and then, there was a field behind my house where coyotes play and come up at times looking for a meal. Until dozers and other dirt machines came in and cleared all the trees and are now making roads to put in a housing addition, another sign of progress..Hmmm I hope my new neighbors like to hear roosters crowing. ;]

Favorite colors are All colors but especially, blue and green, all earth tones and beach colors.

I like to cook, and still do some sewing, I made extra cash making wedding and brides maid dresses when I was younger, and have made several quilts.
I have mostly gone over to paper crafting now. Many of my friends are crafters and they managed to get me hooked about 3 years ago. My favorite things are cards and ATCs.

OTHER THINGS I LIKE: The Ocean and the color of the water and beach, and picking up sea shells.
(even though I live no where near this scene) We traveled to South Padre Island for vacation a year ago, and I fell in love with the place.

Helping my 82 year old parents, (even though they are still very independent) I am blessed to have them with me still.

Living Simple

  Meeting new people and making new friends.

Having family around, and teaching my grandchildren new stuff. I love the art they make for me, and have several pieces framed. I love Christmas, but do not like the grench, or scrooge.

I have noticed on other profiles people list their dislikes. Though I have some, I trust those who read my profile will be able to judge.
I have no issue with flakers and non raters. I hope I never will, Please let me know if you do not receive my swap item, I am the type of person who keeps my promises unless there is a very good reason, and will always resend if for some reason something goes wrong.
