I am a biology professor and a mother of a rambunctious little girl and two bonus teenage boys. I am a self-professed nerd. Seriously. I'm curious about lots of things, other than biology. I knit, weave, spin my own yarn, sew, crochet, wire wrap, and do most anything fiber arts related. I also paint D&D/Pathfinder miniatures and play Pathfinder with my hubby.

I basically have tried anything craft-related I can do with my hands and several crafts are not listed here that I have tried.

I tend to collect fiber (wool, yarn, fleece, etc) and fabric (batiks especially, but any fabric that is not countryish or rustic looking). I tend to like bright and bold colors in my fibers.

• Steampunk. I love steampunk. My husband and I dress up for a Renaissance Festival every year now and I dress either as a fae or in Steampunk. I'm still developing my costumes though.

• Developing my hobbies. I am a serious learner when it comes to hobbies. I've tried almost anything and love to read how to books.

• Pathfinder/Dungeons & Dragons player. My husband and I started playing together a few years ago and now we have hundreds, maybe thousands, of miniatures and game items. I paint the miniatures, but my hubby makes most of the game items to use in his GMing.

• Fabric -- batiks, fat quarters, strips, all kinds of fabric.
• D&D Miniatures

• Beads -- glass and gemstone beads. I do not like plastic beads or ceramic ones
