Someone recently asked me about my hobbies. Initially I started to give the typical responses of things I "do" such as love to reach, am learning to cook, love to listen to podcast, memory keep, journal.

But then I stopped myself and thought it might be more insightful to ask me why I do those things. I thought about my strengths (anyone all about the Strengths Finder?) and had to acknowledge my insatiable curiosity (which has served me well in my life) drives everything I do. If I can't learn new things I think I'd just topple over and roll away (think weeble).

I am constantly seeking new knowledge (yes, Google does fuel it! I said what I said!)

And I love identity development things. Anything about the iterative nature of us humans and our world! Fascinating!

I'm also all about data.....both QUALITATIVE and yes, quantitative has a place in the world. It's not first place but a place; well maybe it is "first" but that is trial run....

My spouse is a saint because I'm a handful and my daughter who is a handful is my gift to this world.

I'm obsessed with my fur-babies: RePete (we call him ReeRee to keep his street cred up) is the Australian Shepherd. Rascal is the Border Collie. Brilliant guy!

Smokey is the neurotic cat. Demanding and convinced we are all his peasants. Lily is the precious little girl kitty. She is my only other female in this sea of testosterone!

I live in a teeny-tiny town. It can serve, as any small town America can, as a Case Study research as all the humans intersect in various ways!

I'm not great with my social media these days but I am great with email.

I work too much, I don't rest enough. I have a unique worldview.
