I have been working full time or going to school, or both my whole adult life. This past January I was given the oppurtunity to stay at home and follow my passions. Crafting and writing. I mostly enjoy to sew, although I have to admit that patterns confuse me!!! I have an amazing six year old son and a very patient husband.

I am addicted to fabric. Right now I have gone crazy buying snuggle flannel. I like to search the scrap and remnant bins and all the local fabric stores. Every so often I forget that I bought some and find a little bag hidden in my craft closet! Its like getting something new all over again!!

I feel like at any moment someone will knock on my door and tell me I was turned in for hoarding. I have a big problem throwing scraps away, either fabric or paper. I just got a Cricut and a brand new sewing machine.....yes I am in HEAVEN!!!!!!

I enjoy sewing and paper crafts such as scrapbooking and making cards. I would love to try my hand at ATC cards but for now will watch a few swaps before I dive into those! I also like to dabble in the crochet and knitting arena, mostly washclothes and baby booties!

I love historical romance books, especially ones that take place in the old west or on the prairie. My favorite authors are Linda Lael Miller and Jodi Thomas. I will read pretty much anything though. I have tried book clubs in the past, but there is something about reading a book on a deadline that turns me off! I like reading to be relaxing, I enjoy books more that way!

I am up for anything on the music front accept maybe real heavy metal and rap music with rude language. I am a mom! I love to clean the house on a sunny day with a good mix of 80's hairbands screaming in the background though!

Some of the things I like are fabric. Bright colors, baby prints, snuggle flannel. Wool sweaters for recycling into mittens and fun stuff. Decorator fabric for handbags. I really like to mix different types of fabrics together and make blankets.

I love paper. ANY paper!!! Although I have a boy, so generally I make use of boyish paper, I reserve the flowery papers for cardmaking!

I LOVE rub ons, but not so much the stickers. they just don't do it for me

It is hard to some up with things I don't like, but I will give it a try ;-)
