....my name is marion and i live in melbourne, australia... i make art and i teach art and english to teenagers and i love it (most of the time)...

..i am married to a lovely german man (got it right the second time around) and we have an arty teenage teenage daughter and my two grown sons are both delightful...

..i often spend hours at a time in my studio making art or writing or doing preparation for school....senior photography and year10 engish....

..i don't watch much tv as i have lots of other things i would rather do.. i love music.. especially female vocalists and ethnic mood music...

..i love to make collage, art dolls and sew... and i take fortnightly life drawing classes

..swap-bot is great for me because i am always learning new things.. i thought i wanted to learn how to make quilts, but i think i will leave that up to people who have a lot more patience than me...

..i am going to try some cloth dolls with painted faces next... and of course, i have to make some gocco prints (something that has been waiting also)..

..there is also the half finished mosaic bird bath i am constructing in the front garden, the ceramic flower installation that is half completed and five canvases that are drawn up but not painted yet..so, i am not at a loss for entertainment...ha ha ha

i love detail... so i make little things so small pieces of paper, metal and material are great..especially if you have picked them up off the ground, or run over them with your car...and no, i am not joking !!! (giggling and laughing some more) ........................................................

these magazines aren't easy to get here in australia..i would love any copy, doesn't matter how old....

looks like goods4girls got too much for the woman who started it .. so she closed it down after operating it for one year... well done Deanna Duke for being such an inspiration.. BUT THERE IS HOPE...there is another project which does the same thing..see below for description and above for link.. thanxx

Give a girl EVERY day of her life back.... What if not having feminine supplies kept you isolated for days during menstruation? No study for days, no income for days, no going out, no access to hygiene? The truth is that this happens every day for women in third world countries. We can do something about that. And we're tackling the goal of making sure each of them can have their own washable, colorful, effective feminine solutions. We recommend 6 pads, and two "outer shields" to hold the pads in place per girl/woman. This project also serves as a trade-training industry for young women in third world countries.
