My name is Mindy from Michigan! I have a degree in Biology and a degree in Finance. I currently work at a non-profit helping people in housing crises.

I love volunteering, reading, and trying new food/restaurants with friends.

A few of my favorite things include coffee shops, anchors, otters, cows, nature, tea parties, Disney, inspirational quotes, and art pieces.

I started a student organization at my University focusing on British literature and fandoms, so you can say I am smitten with Britain. I am obsessed with anything relating to British culture (Doctor Who, Shakespeare, Harry Potter, etc).

I try to read at least 45 minutes a day, every day.

My top three favorite books include Orpheus Lost by Janette Turner Hospital, Looking for Alaska by John Green, and The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

I am a part of a classics book club where we read one literary classic each month and meet up to discuss it over a pot luck dinner. We base our meal and decorations on the theme of the novel and/or of the seasons/holidays.

I own 500+ books in my personal library and I am always looking to expand it. I add to it at least once a month though buying used books at thrift shops and at used book stores.

Crafts are my favorite type of gifts to give others. They are both affordable and easy to diversify. I enjoy crafts that involve painting wood and paper crafts so I can never have enough supplies for those.

Some of my favorite movies include Kiki’s Delivery Service, Inside Out, How to Train Your Dragon Series, Minion Series, Big Hero 6, Me Before You, and the Harry Potter Series.

I like music that currently is played on the radio. Some of my favorite artists include Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Dia Frampton, Katy Perry, Michael Buble, Jason Mraz, Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood, and Sam Smith.

I also enjoy listening to show tunes soundtracks including Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. I’m currently working my way through the Hamilton soundtrack.

I like watching TV shows, but I always watch them a season or two after they have premiered. Aka, I binge watch a lot. Some of my favorite shows are New Girl, The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, The Mindy Project, Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad,Criminal Minds, Gilmore Girls, Orange is the New Black and The Voice.
