I am a collector by pure DNA, my mother and my grandmother collected California Pottery, Breyers, Steiff Bears...just to name a few of their favorite genres to collect. Growing up I collected baseball cards, hot wheels, buttons and bootleg music recordings of favorite bands. But as I circled the sun for the 35th time, I have narrowed in on the things that make me happy. Usually something stirs in me artistically or sparks a sense of place for me to pick an item up. I purged my collections of my youth. I sold my baseball cards and hotwheels, and have one lunch box left full of rare playing cards and a few historical political buttons in a jar. I am not a crafty person, I don't sew or really cook. I do beadworking, creating necklaces and bracelets using semiprecious stones for my friends and family members. I love buttons, books, vintage concert poster art and surf art, art photography, National Parks history, anything with bicycles. I love to write, journals, note cards, stationary, pens, pencils, office supplies in general make this girl happy. I am gardener from the pure fact that I have a few acres and felt the need to fill it with yummy and pretty things. I am pretty easy to please and love the provenance of items. Everything has a story. I don't really have any food allergies.
