I am taking a break from swap-bot for the remainder of the summer. Too many other things going on, but I will log on to rate the remaining swaps as they are received and will be back in September.

My favorite crafts change from time to time.

Currently, I am learning to knit and crochet and I absolutely love both! I even joined a local knitting guild!

I also enjoy, scrapbooking, beading, decorative painting and other general crafts.

I use to read a lot, but even though I have lots of free time, being on lay off, I find my self crafting more than reading.

I also have a large collection of Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books from my childhood, and V.C. Andrews, J.D. Robb, Patricia Cornwall and Terry Brooks. You can tell that I like a variety!

I like to laugh. I don't like to cry or cringe. So no blood. I don't mind scary so much, but as in Poltergiest or Paranormal Activity, not horror! Yechh!

I don't watch TV. Really! There are way too many other things I would rather do with my time. Can't stand all the reality shows out there, enough is enough already!

I do have some DVDs that I watch when knitting or before bed,like Friends, Fraser, Big Bang Theory, That 70's show, and even, yes, the Golden Girls. You gotta watch that show, it is pretty funny, especially Sophia!

I am, or was, a single parent of a boy with cerebral palsy. Now I am, happily, well sometimes anyway, happily living with a very unique man who brings a ray of sunshine to my life.

My son,now 19, is still the light of life and will always be!

I love country, newer country though, not Hank Williams or Stompin' Tom. Love Toby Keith, Alan Jackson etc.

My teenage favorite was the Bay City Rollers! Loved that plaid. Also liked ABBA.

I love lavender, as in pale shades of purple, not deep purple. Its actually the colour I want for my bridesmaids' dresses (yes, at 50 I've decided its time to get married).

But my favorite colour is yellow, true bright yellow, not the orange yellow.

but really, any colour is good, even black, but not white, I mean, whites not a colour, right?
