hi! i'm sara. i'm twenty-two years old, from newfoundland, canada. i love reading, writing, acting, dancing (i dance tap, jazz and celtic step), movie-going, drawing, and obviously sending mail! i am currently working on getting my bachelors degree in english, minoring in anthropology. i spent my first two years out of high school at a theatre school before changing my major to english. this fall i'll be spending a semester in harlow, england, and i couldn't be more excited! i love being creative; doodling, writing little notes and stories, making little crafts etc. i'm excited to start swapping and sending lots of mail and hopefully making new friends!

during the fall and winter i am in school, so when i'm not busy studying and writing papers (i'll be honest - i'm not much of a studier!) there's lots i like to do to relax and enjoy my free time.

i love reading, above all else. i like pretty much any kind of book and am willing to give anything a shot; it's rare that i don't finish a book i start unless it really really has not captured my attention.

acting, of course, is another passion of mine. i majored in theatre for my first two years out of high school before transferring schools to pursue an english degree. i've been acting since i was bunny sue in the first grade, and have never lost my love for the stage and becoming a new character. some plays i've been in include this is a play, man of mode, the fights, ismene and as you like it.

baking and cooking is something else which i love to do. at any time of the day if i have a few spare minutes there's a good chance i'm looking up a recipe or taking down my mixing bowls. i love baking cakes and cookies mostly, but i can also cook pretty decently too!

i also love blogging, which i started four years (four years!) ago, during my first semester of university. i love posting new things to share with others. mostly, i love reading other's blogs and finding inspiration in other people's daily lives and what they find inspiring.

writing is another hobby of mine. i often write tiny anecdotes while people watching at coffee shops, airports, the university center at school - anywhere! i like to imagine people's lives and tell stories about what i think they could be like and then occasionally i will throw a few of my characters in the same story and see what happens.

in addition to writing little stories, i journal quite a lot. i love taping and gluing things i like or find inspiring into my journal (fortune cookie fortunes, postcards, magazine cutouts, catalogue pictures, photobooth strips - anything!) along with writing about my days.

dance is another hobby of mine. i've been in dance for 13 years now, although when i'm away at school i don't get to go to dance all the time but when i return home i go any chance i can get! i dance tap, jazz and celtic step. i was in a performing troupe up until i graduated high school. i love dance - the music, the exercize you get, dancing with my sister and my friends who i grew up with. it's definitely somthing i hope to do for my whole life.
