In the way of general knowledge I am a wife and mom who loves spending time with family and friends. I also like to read, play board games and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.

I come from a terrific heritage of creativity from my mother, father, great aunts and other extended family.

All colors are good colors though I am drawn to naturals, especially greens, aquas and, well, everything after that.

I am a life long crafter of various media. Currently spinning, dying and knitting top the list. But I have also tatted for over 18 years and want to improve skills of sewing and crochet. Other crafts I enjoy on occassion include cross stitch, painting, weaving (a little) and beading. I especially like to paint reclaimed items ;)

I have been making spindles as long as i have been spinning. I teach and use the spindles there as well as selling at markets and online.

I have a passion for spinning yarn by spindle and by wheel. I love using natural colors as well as dyes of all shades to piece together finished yarn that is like no other. I like simple even multi-plys as well as funky art yarns.

Paper is my first love of crafting. From an early age i have enjoyed making, forming and otherwise altering and using paper to create.

I enjoy creativity - whether mine or someone else's. The ideas, processes and sharing. I like to lead workshops with children and adults. Watching faces when someone "gets" a new skill or sees the colors swirl together or any one of a plethora of experiences, is a true gift. My favorite thought about Swap-Bot is that is provides a fun way to share art with people I would otherwise never have the chance!

Oddly I tend to prefer drama TV, but Comedy movies - though I like some of the others as well. When I have time for TV my favorites include Heroes, Law & Order:CI, Life, psych and Monk (the last 2 fit so many categories!). I am a movie snob - original ideas are tops and i don't pay money for just anything ;) Favorites include 50 First Dates; Meet the Robinsons; Rat Race AND Its a Mad, Mad, Mad World; Groundhog Day ...

I like to read mysteries and adventure books - romance only if it is part of a great story ;) I enjoy classics from time to time and "true" books for education or growth. My tastes vary from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (trilogy) to everything C.S. Lewis and children's classics like L. Frank Baum and Roald Dahl which I now read with my daughter ;) I am a huge Seuss fan

Music varies like everything else. I prefer talk when it comes to radio but I can't say why, just do. I appreciate music and can listen to almost anything for a time (just ask my nephew!). When I want tohear something it s often indie and often Christian, sometimes classic rock, 50s or 60s, vintage jazz, motown, something with heart and soul

I have a daughter who loves to swap! She helps me with most of my swaps, but is enjoying getting involved in her own now.

Peggy is 5 and likes all kinds of things! Favorite colors vary, but bolds and brights always top the list! She loves aimals of all kinds - from realistic to silly - but dogs and cats are her favorites.

Peggy likes outdoorsy things, but also likes to be fancy girly sometimes. Into classic children's literature and tea time.
