hello, my name is Chelsea- i've always loved getting mail, so i am very excited to start swapping. isn't your day just a bit brighter when you receive something fun in the post that isn't a bill or junk?!

my time is spent mostly thrifting, sewing, watching tv, and browsing etsy. i also love photography! from other profiles i've viewed, i see that it's good to list things you like/don't like so here's my list below!

LIKES:

• broken bit of sparkly jewellry-- i use them for craft projects
• fabric; cottons. especially vintage!

• the colors red & pink
• anything to do when bones/skeletons; i love vintage anatomy prints, cute skully stuff at halloween time, etc.
• teeth stuff! i know that seems a bit weird, but there are some really cute kawaii-theme teeth stuff (stickers, fabric, etc) so i know i'm not the only one.
• anything with hearts
• long necklaces
• brooches/pins
• i collect kitschy/weird/cute/vintage salt & pepper shakers
• paint-by-numbers paintings
• junk food related items
• anything super touristy (postcards, magnets, ash trays, etc)
• anything LAS VEGAS related, the older the better!
• animal stuff: whales, bunnies, deers
• disney related stuff (no tinkerbell please!)

• makeup or lotion or any sort of perfume/oils/incense. i have pretty crazy allergies & a super sensitive nose
• earrings; my ears are NOT pierced
• pencils, because i don't use them

i don't think i've met a genre i didn't like when it comes to music; a little bit of everything for me!

i've been recently listening to Adele, The Black Keys, Johnny Cash, Bon Iver, Lykke Li, Findlay Brown, etc. i love pop/dance music for working out so there's a lot of Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue on my ipod.

the last concerts i went to were Incubus (APR 2012), Alkaline Trio (MAR 2012) and Merle Haggard (OCT 2011).

when i was a little kid, i absolutely LOVED to read. as a teen, i focused just on school required reading and not much else. now i've graduated college and i'm getting back into books for fun.

i love fiction and non. 'The Great Gatsby', 'Everything is Illuminated', and 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' all jump to mind.

i also enjoy political non-fiction and biographies.

style and craft books are also a lot of fun-- i like to browse the large coffee table books in shops for the photography.

vintage children's books have become an accidental collection because i love the illustrations.

i almost don't see anything when it originally airs anymore, i just wait for it to come out on DVD!

that being said, i love watching shows like Arrested Development (rip), Roseanne (rip), Criminal Minds, The Walking Dead, Louie, and The Office (both US and UK versions).

American Pickers might be my fave show on tv right now. i want to road trip and thrift America's heartland, too!

i also like Mad Men, Flight of the Conchords (rip), and seriously geek out at anything LOST-related.

i also started renting Dexter. i'm only into season four, so no spoilers! :)

oh wow-- i love all sorts of crafts. my fave is probably sewing. i make stuff for myself, for friends, and to sell. i don't think it's possible for me to be in a bad mood if i'm in a fabric store.

my mom and i have been talking about taking up a jewellry class, but we haven't yet. i hope to soon.

i don't know if it is considered 'crafty' per se, but i love photography and developing my own film. there is something very exciting about shooting a roll of film, processing it, and then discovering what shows up when you print. i've made some weird chemical/time/lighting mistakes that have turned into cool pictures!
