i am the mother of 3 children of my own and 3 step-children. the oldest of the six is 20 and the youngest is 14. my oldest daughter (the 20 year old) recently made me a grandma for the first time. I love being an oma to natalia. i also work part time at a summer resort in the beautiful redwoods of california and i tutor grade school children as well. i am married to my high school sweetheart and have never been happier. i am devoted to GOD, ( i believe that the BIBLE is the infallible word of GOD, that Jesus is the son of GOD, and that the Holy Spirit leads us to the truth and knowledge of GOD. There is one way to heaven and that is thru Jesus christ.)family, and country and consider the members of my church to be part of my family. I enjoy volunteer work and crafting with found/thrift store items. i love to take something headed for the landfill and turn it into something else. i'm a little crazy , but in a good way

I love to read and usually have several books going at the same time. i like historical non-fiction, vampire stories, children's books and classics like Little Women and anything by Jane Austen. I am currently reading "Cash" by Johnny Cash.

i like all kinds of music. everything from jazz and blues to rock and roll, gospel, country, you name it. currently i am big on contemporary christian and my radio dial rarely moves from KLOVE. i especially like third day, chris tomlin, matthew west, and 33 miles.

i collect all kinds of stuff... snapple bottle caps for one... LOVE those factoids! i also collect McGuffey readers (textbooks from the pioneer days. think "Little House on the Prairie") i love buttons both old and new and i will go crazy over a unique pair of flip flops. i also have quite a collection of children's books... i have lost count of how many.

i DETEST halloween... i hate its origins and i hate the commercialization and i hate to have kids going door to door begging for candy. fall, pumpkins (NOT jack-o-lanterns), even kids in costume are okay... i just hate halloween! ok...i also don't like patchoulli...it's a migraine waiting to happen, i don't like anime' or power rangers or pokemon...ugh!

i've been called eclectic, old fashioned, and probably even a bit of a hippy. i like to think of myself as someone who appreciates the things of the past: a slower pace of life, handcrafted items, the skills and expertise that came with having to do for yourself because you couldn't run down to the mall. that being said i love vintage, farmhouse, pioneer style everything. i would love to live in a log cabin built by the hands of charles ingalls with my very own loft. i would love to know i could go down the road and visit ike and cora godsey or the baldwin sisters. and i would love to be able to have tea with marmee, meg, beth, amy, and especially, jo. hope that gives you a sense of my style.
