I love country music and that is generally what I listen to on the radio. We have a little country music dance club in our town and I like to take the kids down there to dance or attempt to line dance. I also like to listen to my cd's. I have a lot of 80's rock music and then a large variety of other things, classical, jazz, movie soundtracks, folk music.
I am 47 yo. I have been married to Ben for almost 15years. We have 2 adorable kids. Audrianna is 11 and Jeff is 9 yo. They keep Ben and I on track and in focus. As a family we like to go for bike rides. ( Jeff got a big boy bike in late October and hopefully he has grown enough over the winter to be able to ride it....We are hoping 2015 will be the year for some really good bike rides ;-) ), go for hikes where we search for "dinosaur bones", swim at area lakes and pools, and visit the parks and play grounds. When I can't be with my family, I go hang out with my fabulous co-workers at the Marion Hy-vee pharmacy. We spend our days (and some nights /weekends) trying to keep our customers healthy, wealthy and wise.
I love to read. I don't have a favorite. I like both fiction and non-fiction. I signed up for the 2015 reading challenge on Goodreads. I love reading my kindle, but I have discovered that Jeff is very competative. I have had trouble getting him to read but when he sees me reading a "real" book he pays atten. to how far I am and has been reading one of his books for every one of mine. Well, I guess it is a terrible sacrafice that I will have to make-- gotta keep that boy reading!
I have several favorite tv shows. Since I last updated my profile we got Netflix and I have watched many wonderful shows. The currant ones are: Grimm, Walking Dead, and White Collar.
I collect postcards. I started in 4 th grade when my granny went on vacation and sent me my first postcard. I love to write postcards, notecards and emails. What I love about postcards is that no matter how busy life gets; you always have time to read or write a postcard. I swap postcards at postcrossing.com and through LEX (The Letter Exchange) ads. I have always enjoyed doing and learning crafts. I want to teach myself how to knit and crochet. I love all the threads, beads and embellishments that go along with the crafts. I am looking forward to getting exposed to different types of creative crafts, to see what others are doing through the types of swaps listed and giving some a try myself.
I love all of the different flavors of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, drink mixes, etc. My husband and I are learning about different wines and I like to try new foods/recipes. Always love dessert especially if it is ice cream or chocolate.
I just want to comment that I am very thankful for finding this great website this past year. I have met some really great people on here through the swaps. I look forward to many future swaps!!
July 2014-- We just got back from a wonderful vacation traveling thru Ontario Canada. I just picked up my mail and will catch up on all my ratongs this weekend. :-) Happy summer and happy swapping!
October 2021- Back for swapping- my profile is really out of date. Kids are growing up - almost 18 and 15 - Both are driving. We have been flipping a house since March…really planned to be done before now but like life things happen but not always at the pace we would like. It is coming along beautifully though. Things are extra crazy at work! The deracho last August took out the HyVee Drug so my coworkers have doubled. (2 pharmacies became one). Great group of people though and I love them all ( ok, maybe there is just one that drives me a little crazy). We rock and roll together thru the craziness of flu shots, covid shots and prescriptions.

Hi, Tammy! I thought you might be interested to know that your postcard from Adventures of the Traveling Postcard R20 (!!! - yes, R20) was put back out in circulation in R43. Yes, I've had your card for a year, and I'm sorry I didn't send it to the coordinator to put it out in the following round last year (I received it in R24 but didn't join R25 - lots of things going on last year with husband's cancer diagnosis). I suppose I thought I was going to join the next round, or the next, and it just got forgotten. But it still lives and has been sent out again! It was only half full so it probably needs about 6 more rounds around the world before it returns to you. I'm sure you had given up on seeing it again. :) (I sent it to @MiniQuilt in Utah the other day.)
Do they have geocaching in your area? It would be perfect as a family hobby. It's really fun to do.
