Hello Everyone! I am a homeschooling mommy of 4 cuties, 3 girls and a boy. Their ages range from 5-13 years old. My home is very eclectic..by that I mean that we have a shabby chic room, a vintage Hawaiian room, a 40's red and white kitchen and my bedroom is pink and green. I like old things and love to dig in boxes at garage sales and flea markets. I am a Christian and I love Jesus! I love cooking and trying new recipes, but I don't like seafood or eggs. :0( I am a people person, and I love having company.

I listen mainly to Christian music. I love Toby Mac, KJ-52, Newsboys, Third Day, to name a few. My kids are somewhere in between glad and horrified their mom likes the same christian rap they do. We have fun dancing in the car. :0) I also enjoy my when my husband and his friends play worship music or old Americana tunes on their guitars,mandolins, banjos, etc. at my house every Friday night. I also like big band music and some jazz.

I like to read my Bible and devotional books.I also love to read Home Companion Magazine, cooking magazines, crafting magazines, and I love anything Martha Stewart puts out. I don't read novels really due to lack of time. But if I did, I would enjoy Christian fiction.

My favorite things to work with during crafting are pom poms, rick-rac, crepe paper, buttons, old bingo cards, scrapbook paper, felt, old floral picks, old hat flowers, small found objects. I love making cards, collages, journals, things for our women's retreats at church, garlands, or just about anything. I love searching flickr,etsy, and magazines and books for insiration.I love pretty much everything in the Martha Stewart section of Michael's. Likes: I have many collections including: vintage wedding cake toppers (the bride and groom), old hand crocheted red and white potholders, old hankies with pretty patterns, lu-ray pastel china, figural planters, white pottery, old cameras (brownies,etc.) old figural salt and pepper shakers, old frogs (for flowers), vintage holiday items (easter,thanksgiving,christmas)We don't make a fuss about Halloween at my house though- we just decorate for autumn. Pretty much my entire house has been decorated from thrift stores, flea markets, etc...so there is a sense of bygone days, nothing modern. Bible verses are really cool. Red, pink and green, and aqua make me happy. I love chocolate,retro things, starbucks, milk glass,things made with felt, bath and body lipglosses, kit kats, chocolate cake, sees candy (nuts and chews), sour cherry balls,old photos for collage, scrapbooking paper and chipboard letters,red and white polka dots, and scrabble.I love laughing and I am a night owl.

Dislikes: I am not a blue kind of girl. I am very conservative and don't want anything risque or provocative. I don't like course joking. I want to edify God and others in my conduct.I am not a fan of things with an asian flair. I don't care for insence or perfumes.

My favorite Bible verse is: Phillipians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding , will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I love it this because it is a constant reminder that God has made a way for us to deal with things we are concerned about, and that he has it all covered!
