I am a search & rescue canine handler in north Alabama, USA. My canine partner is a beautiful German Shepherd Dog named Brandi. My husband is also a handler on the team along with his GSD, Rudy. I am also a software engineer.

I discovered Postcrossing some time back and have just discovered swap-bot, in a round about way, via the Postcrossing. I am particularly interested in homemade/handmade postcards.

That's a toughie. I don't have a lot time for crafting and I don't have a sewing machine. So, mostly I have done some beading/jewelry/Anglican rosaries. Cross-stitch and embroidery. I am really into digital photography. And I am intrigued by the Dotee dolls. I started Postcrossing some time back and love the postcard swapping. Looking to making some homemade postcards.

I love all things dog-related (particularly German Shepherds). I have been a search & rescue volunteer now for just over 6 years, so anything SAR related is cool, but difficult to find in the "crafty" world :-) I don't have much time for reading, but I do listen to alot of audio books on my daily work commute. All the HPs, all Stephen King books, Nelson Demille. I subscribe to the weekly Lake Woebegone news from Prairie Home Companion. I am a big "This American Life" fan. Listen to the podcasts religiously! Also, "The Moth" podcast is a big fav!

I have been Postcrossing for several months and have just fallen in love with that. It is so exciting to go to the Post Office and pull out a new PC from a faraway place. Postcrossing has led me to Swap-Bot. I am looking forward to learning the ins and outs of swapping!
