I putter around at writing. Drawing and painting aren't my best artistic endeavors, but I like crafts, sculpture, and other hands-on type art projects.

I enjoy BookCrossing -- my entry into the online world several years back -- and sporadically tend to my photos on Flickr.

Let me see....

I don’t dislike any color, though I prefer rich colors to pastels. Usually. I suppose if I have to pick an actual favorite color, it would be somewhere in the blues or greens spectrum. I absolutely adore the ocean.

I like cute little things, I suppose. But I don’t collect any particular cute little thing, like ladybugs or dragonflies or moose. (Mooses? Meeses?) I adore my dog, but I don’t need lots of stuff reminding me of her or dogs in general – I live with her! My cat is OK, but she likes the dog more than she likes me, even though I am the one who feeds her. Rather than cute, I probably most like eclectic and...oh, well, I’m probably not really sophisticated either. A bit goofy, perhaps? Maybe I’d like to be funky, though I probably rarely succeed. Did I mention I like the ocean? Does that help??

I do a variety of weird crafty projects – whatever strikes my fancy – but don’t do any one particular thing exclusively. I’ve made my own Christmas cards, beaded jewelry as gifts, written stories that I illustrate and decorate for small friends, worked with polymer clay, thrown pottery, cross-stitched, knitted, etc. Most recently, I designed and made some faerie wings for a research project (of a sort) for http://community.livejournal.com/artspark – I thought they turned out well. So, a variety of materials come in handy, but there isn’t any particular thing that I lust after, want, need, have zillions of sitting in boxes waiting for friends.....nothing like that.

People put all sorts of things on here, don’t they? (I read some others, hoping to cut and paste, but that didn’t seem like it would work!) Um... I love cooking, especially ethnic foods and things with fresh spices. I drink tea and too much Diet Coke (but I’m trying to quit that!). I love MASH reruns, Jane Goodall, the original CSI, and the Food Network. I miss Joss Whedon shows being on TV.
