I'm a stay-at-home mom of 2 children, Tristyn and Maia. I enjoy many things; writing perhaps most of all. I finished my first novel (80% of it done in various coffee shops) and have been spending my rare quiet time tweaking it and trying to polish it up before I attempt to find a publisher for it.

Aside from writing I enjoy doing lots of other things.

Reading---I can't get enough of it! I prefer fiction and will read almost anything (even if it's not a favorite genre)

Baking---I bake and I bake and I bake. And it's still not enough. I often jokingly force people to eat baked goods when they come to my house and I share them as often as I can with some of my neighbors (but not too much, because they will think I'm weird). Why do I do these things? So I can bake some more. =s

Outside Stuff--kayaking, skiing, running (okay, not really but I do it anyway), walking and camping

Crafts--I've been dabbling in various things for the last few years and it has been just recently that I've become very interested and trying out many new things.

I enjoy sewing and embroidery. I like quilting but I LOVE quilts. I would love to try pottery some day.

Vintage/Antiques--I love 'old things' and often wish I lived 50 or more years ago. My biggest, bestest find has been my victrola circa 1920 that I scored from a local person on ebay and it still works! I would really like to incorporate my interest in sewing with old, vintage dress patterns that are simple enough for a beginner like me and pretty and stylish enough not to get strange looks from other people when I wear them,

Movies--I enjoy going to see them and watching them at home, but only if I have someone to watch them with. I prefer NOT to watch horror flicks but my husband loves them and sometimes i must. Thankfully we have an unspoken exchange system of horror movie= 1 chick flick (or sometimes 2!)

Travel---Except for an entirely too short trip to Canada I have not been out of the U.S, though I have been to quite a few places here. This is another thing I can't get enough of and want to travel and visit almost everywhere.

Gardening---Flowers! Need I say more? =)

Other things I like: kids, spending time with my husband, unicorns, fairies, the ocean, She-ra, My Little Ponies, rollerblading, blogs, italian food, fabric and jewelry from India, Indian food, white chocolate martinis, coffee, pearls, anything blue, animals and waking up to birds singing and the sun shining on my face--not an alarm clock!
