My name is Yvonne and I am 58 years old. Currently I am a stay at home wife. I am a mother of 4 - Joey 40 who is the family mechanic, twins Eric works in a warehouse Erica is going to school for nursing 26 and Johnny my sailor stationed in Guam 22. My favorite role is that of Granny to my six year old granddaughter. She is the light of my life and absolutely love spoiling her - and trust me she knows it! I am originally from Michigan but lived most of my life here in Virginia. My Dad was in the Army so while I was younger we traveled to quite a few places. Unfortunately I was to young to appreciate them. I have worked most of my life somehow related to food. Either as a server, in the kitchen and catering. Recently due to health issues I have had to quit working. My job now is trying to apply for disablility which seems to be overwhelming. UPDATE: So I filed for disability in the second week of Dec 2015 and was approved before the new year!!! So less than 3 weeks. There really must be a Santa!! My husband is a welder at a local shipyard and has been for about 30 years. He has 3 cats which are really playing havoc with my health issues.

I am country through and through. I love old country the best. The crying in your beer type of country. Conway Twitty, George Jones etc. Right now I am listening to alot of Joey and Rory cds. Her voice is so pretty I can listen to it for hours. The fact that she is at home now in hospice care and they are both so positive is amazing to me.

I love mysteries and historical novels. History also holds a special place.

I like pretty much all movies. I am not a fan of movies where it seems like all it is about is fighting and blood and blowing things up. My favorite movie of all time is an old black and white one called "The Enchanted Cottage". I love the old movies. I love the suspense of Alfred Hitchcock. How you would be scared to death yet you never 'saw' anything. I really don't care for shock effect of movies today. Guess I am just older then my time.

I like the medical and police shows. Right now I am watching Code Black and Chicago Med. The Knick on Max. NCIS and Criminal Minds also. I like survivor and the amazing race. I watch alot of the ID channel. I watch the news nightly because good or bad I want to know whats going on.

I am a scrapbooker and card maker mainly. This year I have crocheted blankets for everyone. I love finding crafts that I can do/teach my Granddaughter. I love homemade items. The fact that someone took the time to make it is always special to me.

magazines and books that are for creating cards and scrapbook pages. Anything that gets the creative juices flowing.

When it comes to Holidays I think each one is special some just hang around longer. I love items that celebrate each one. At Christmas I do favor snowmen. Don't know why I just always seem to gravitate towards them. But I love all Christmas stuff.

military items. Papers pictures etc.

Candy The only thing I do not like is dark chocholate and nuts. Not allergic just don't like. Love everything else sour sweet gooey powder fudgy etc.

Love Love homemade items. Makes it special right from the start.

My favorite color is red. But in general I like colors that are full of color. I am not into the pastel colors although they do have a place sometimes.

I love the vintage, recipe card, or cards from a place. But I really do like them all.

If and when I do a kid swap it will be for my granddaughter Bryanna. She is a 6 (Turns 7 in June 2016) year old girl. She loves anything girly, sparkly, arts and crafts. I think she gets more excited seeing mail addressed to her then anything :)
