Description:

It's always nice to have guest posts on your blog because guest posting works to the benefit of both people in the form of cross traffic. Let's write guest posts for our partner.

Post your blog address or a link to your blog in the comments below and list a few topics related to your blog that your partner could write about. Please make your topics broad enough that someone who is not an expert could write about them. If you fail to do this, you will not be allowed to participate in this swap. This swap is for blogs, not Pintrest, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. Blogs that condone hate, violence, intolerance or discrimination will not be accepted in this swap.

When partners are assigned, you will write a guest blog post for your partner that is in some way related to the topic of his or her blog. You can use one of the topics suggested by your partner in the comments below or come up with your own. Just make sure you PM or email your partner for approval if you are making your own topic. Your blog post should generally be positive about the topic.

For example, if your partner's blog is called "My Pet Monkey Blog" and on her blog she talks about her pet monkey, pet monkeys in general, pets in general, and wild monkeys, your guest post should in some way be related to pets or monkeys or both. Your post should not be "Why Pet Monkeys Are the Worst" or "Why Dogs Are the Only Pets People Should Have". You get the idea. You probably will have to do a little research into your partner's topics, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Please don't sign up for this swap if you are uncomfy about writing about topics that are outside your niche.

You will write at least 4 original paragraphs of 3 sentences minimum per paragraph about a topic that both you and your partner agree upon. You can write more, but the amount listed is the minimum required. You also will make an additional short paragraph that contains your name (or blogging alias), a link to your blog, and something about you. All posts should be in English unless partners both happen to speak the same language and agree otherwise. Original author retains copyright to material and these guest posts may only posted with the attribution link and about you paragraph.

Please edit your writing for spelling and grammar errors and send to your partner by PM or email (or another agreed upon form if you can think of one). For example, people on Blogger can add additional authors without admin privileges, so some people may choose to do that. Please communicate with your partner.

To be rated a 5 you must: 1. Post your blog URL and a few possible topics in the comments below. 2. Write a minimum of 12 original sentences on a topic related to your partner's blog that are generally positive about the topic. 3. Write an about you paragraph with your name or alias, URL and a few details about you. 4. Spell check and grammar check your guest post before sending. 5. Send on time. I'm allowing a lot of time, so there is NO excuse for sending late, and you should expect a 3 rating if you are even one day late.

In order to participate in this swap, you must have an established blog (meaning you have several entries and your blog is at least a month old). You must not have any unexplained 1s or 3s that you have not made good on or tried to make good on. You must not be late on any swaps currently on your dashboard. Newbies to Swap-Bot who have established blogs are welcome to participate. If you do not meet the above criteria or fail to post your URL/topics, you will be automatically banned from this swap, but feel free to start your own similar swaps.

I will angel if necessary.

Not a requirement, but recommended: After the post is sent, coordinate with your partner when your post will appear on his/her blog and make a post on your blog saying you're guest posting over at "My Pet Monkey Blog" with a link. This will give everyone the most cross traffic. :) Ultimately, blog owners have final editing rights and final say as to whether the guest post will actually appear on their blog, but let's aim to actually use these guest posts.

You also may want to consider adding pictures to posts if you own the copyright or if you have pictures that can be used with the permission of original copyright holder.

Since everyone is posting their blog URLs and topics, feel free to set up guest posting through PM with people other than your one partner if you see something that interests you.

Questions? Please PM me.

I blog at Buddhatropolis.com.

Possible topics include: anything related to Buddhism, yoga, religion in the news, how a news story relates to religion, liberal religion, Unitarian Universalism, spirituality in general, personal stories of spirituality, practical life tips on how to reduce stress and live the good life, dreaming, lucid dreaming, relationships, civil rights, the convergence of religion/spirituality and technology, religious inconsistencies, etc. Although I mostly write about Buddhism, feel free to tie in other religions or spirituality.

If you have any trouble coming up with anything to go with these, just PM me and I have a backup topic in my back pocket. ^_^

I blog at http://ghostcatchronicles.wordpress.com/

Let's see - I blog about personal stuff, family, pets (3 cats and assorted snails), making fun of really terrible fanfics, craft stuff, swap stuff, movies I've seen, weird stuff that happens at work, cartoons, writing fiction, just random odd or unusual things that happen to strike my interest.

I know that the time frame of this swap is probably not the most convenient for people who get really busy with the holidays, so I do hope to host another one of these swaps down the road. I will PM anyone interested when that time comes. ^_^

Hey! That's a great idea! My blog is http://apanko.blogspot.com/ and my posts are mosly about postcards and letter I got. And most of them is in Polish. BUT I have few posts in English and not in Polish.

If you want go check my blog and maybe you'll get an idea about what to write. If no I would like to see a post about how you started penpalling, your traditions, post about your contry and it's traditions, books reviews, music, lerning languages.

To be honest I will enjoy any topic related to traveling.

eveyinorbit 12/28/2011 #

my blog is eveyinorbit.blogspot.com. It is my art studio blog, so posts about art, crafts, mail art, or anything related to those topics would fit in.

I also have a blog for my home decor business at nashpop.blogspot.com. If you would like to guest post here your post should have something to do with modern home decor, thrift shopping, or nashville.
