Altered Journal-Theme is

Are we just altering the cover or some or all of the pages? Can I have some guidence please? I usually only do ATC swaps so I am new to journal swapping and would like my partner to be pleased with the result.

Alter ONLY THE COVERS of the journal...don't do anything to the inside pages.

Is there a size minimum? The books I've been working on lately are around ATC size, maybe a bit bigger. Didn't know if that would be acceptable. THX

So I can't alter the inside at all? Not even if I want to?

Can we decorate the pages? Header/footer/fancy page numbers, quotes, etc?

I'm not going to write a book but i'd like to deccorate the pages somehow.

I agree with Keisha, I hope the persons who recieve they're swap will post here to say so.... Especially with those being sent out early!

Jacquie, is there any reason why the VIVE person wasn't removed from your swap? I hope that whomever receives them as a partner just keeps the journal for themselves.

That is a very nice thing to say... Julee I had hoped that someone whom she say's she sent to would actually really recieve it from her. I hope this next week it'll show up. Actually in looking at some of the swaps VIVE has had I see she leaves bad ratings if she does not get the swap. :( It would be really great if somehow the person VivE got got switched with the person who got her name. That would fix it for all. connie

Connie I emailed Vive myself and told her that if she isn't going to follow through to let the swap coordinator know who her partner is so the swap partner will be able to send to the person she's supposed to send to. The problem also is that unless they post their username you won't know the username until you go to give them a rating. The person sending to VIVE will not know it's her.

Oh wait I take that back the name is linked now. It didn't used to be lol.

Vive has been kicked off Swap-Bot. I send e-mail to the Swap-Bot folks and they confirmed this. Was she matched up with anyone in this swap?

I receive a beautiful journal from my swap partner. Gorgeous! I can't wait to use it. And I love that you "broke the rules" and put dream quotes on some of the pages. ;-) They will keep me inspired!

As a matter of fact Vive was matched with someone... It is I who has her name and address to send to. Thats why I was really wanting to know (if there was any way possible) who's name vive got? Last week she marked it as having been sent already. But I'd gladly swap with the person whom she was linked up to swap with. Connie

Well let's do this why doesn't the swap coordinator find out who didn't get anything after it closes and we can send that person something so they feel special?

I sent mine this morning to Alaska! Wanted to make sure it got out before I went on vacation. Funkychickenoriginals just to let you know I won't be back home until November 26th so if you want to wait to send it after that time that's fine. We've been having hoodlums try to destroy our mailbox the last couple of days.

I was the very lucky recipient of Mickey's journal - thank you! The uploaded picture doesn't do it complete justice; it doesn't show one of my favourite parts: the pocket on the inside cover!

funkychickenoriginals, no worries-- I have your name. :) I admit I'm a little worried about meeting the deadline (when I found SwapBot I signed up for everything that looked interesting (OOPS!) and now I'm artisting like mad to keep up !), but so far everything has gone into the mail on time, and I'm really looking forward to starting on your journal soon! :) Is there anything you'd like to request before I get started?

Jacquie can look up who Vive is matched with. She just needs to look in the list of all participants. Connie, since the swap host seems to not be aware of our conversation here, you might want to e-mail her directly. I don't know that it will help, though. I tried to e-mail her and didn't receive a response.

I got my journal from Leanne in New Zealand it is fantastic and it's so amaizing sence no one here knows how I love the 20's styles.... front and back it's really special Thank-you so much! Wish my handwriting was worthy of writing in such a piece of art....

I got my journal in today's mail!! Absolutely lovely! Better than I could have hoped for! Truly amazing. :) I love it. (can you tell?) Thank you, Keisha!!! (and I really like the little baggie of embelishments! what a clever idea!) .. Now back to work on the journal I'm sending out! --hoping to get it done before the send date!

The weather is frightful today! I may be delayed in getting my journal into the mail as a result. (Seattle traffic does not fare well with snow, ice, and frozen roadways. There are a lot of cars in ditches tonight, and more snow is expected through the end of the week.) I appologize in advance for the probable delay!

Connie I am so glad you liked your journal, I had fun making it and I'm thrilled it arrived so quickly as I sent it surface post so didn't think you would have it yet. It's also nice to see you have shared it with the rest of the group as I didn't think to do this till after I had sent it which was too late then. I'm still waiting for my journal from my partner with anticipation.

I uploaded pictures of the journal I made to the photo gallery for this swap so that you can see what it looked like, at least!! I do so hope it arrives, but if it does not, I'll have to make you a new one!
