Hello! My name is Nickalli Braaten. I'm an artist/crafter in Tucson, AZ. I'm an original beta member, so my user name is generic. I'm married to my best friend (30 years!), we did 22+ years in the Air Force, he works with the Air Force still, as a civilian now. Our son is going into his Junior year at GCU in Phoenix, so we'll be here a few more years trying to deal with the heat!
My loves are art journals, junk journals, planners & bullet journals, hand carved rubber stamps, mail art, bookmaking, ATCs, silk ribbon embroidery, polyclay, beads, jewelry, altered art and books, most anything to do with mixed media.
Banana Tea🍌🍌🍌🍌 I’m searching for banana tea! PickWick’s One, Two Tea Banana is the one I was sent in a swap ages ago and I can’t find it here! If you have access and send me a bag or two, I will forever be in your debt and will send you a profile based envie of love! 💗
I'll listen to most everything except for Rap.
In the right context, I like some Country and some opera.
My current playlist includes Enya, Meatloaf, Neil Diamond, Robbie Williams, Metallica, Imagine Dragons, American Authors, Adele, Melissa Etheridge, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Tom Petty...
Amelie is a favorite- I can watch it over and over, Pulp Fiction as well. Anything with John Cusack also makes me happy. Love the MCU! I love old movies (Cary Grant, Dorris Day) and most chick-flick type sappy ones. Not a fan of the new horror flicks.
I'm a reality show junky - I love Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, any cooking competitions.
Steelers Football is practically a religion in this house.
I miss Friends, Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory.
Mail Art!!! Creating journal embellishments. Carving my own rubber stamps. Working with my gelli plate. ATCs. ICADs. InkBox Cards. Watercolor classes online. Handmade books. Journals and altered books. Making something funky to wear (jewelry, not clothes!) Working in my planner and occasionally bullet journaling.
Please see my note at the end!

things to swap ~ handmade paper crafts, Mail Art, ephemera, handmade Note Cards, handmade Envelopes, washi tape, napkins, stamped images, stuff to stick in my journal, ATCs, journal or planner stuff, recipes ~ Anything Really
Swappers who really care and it shows they weren't just trying to hit the minimum requirement needed! You are loved!
Colors ~ jewel tones. Love purple and blue. Pink and orange is starting to grow on me a bit more.
I'm pretty easy going and impossible to offend, so if you've gotten something you just don't know what to do with it - send it to me. I like the funky, unusual, offensive type stuff.
Receiving something that had no thought put into it, when you can tell the person just wanted to check off another swap and did the minimum needed.
No communication! If you are going to be late - just let me know! I'm pretty easy going :0) Also, if you didn't receive something from me - contact me and let me know before rating! I've never flaked and never will!
I’m involved in a role playing type group related to the Georgian era (Britain early 1700-early 1800s) my husband and I are Leandrea & Bryan Wallis proprietors of the Rose & Crown Pub.
If you have any extra regency/victorian style items (lace, vintage, buttons, ephemera, botanical, embroidery calligraphy, stamps, images, etc.) you’d be willing to share for my journal and future swaps I would be most appreciative!! ❤️❤️❤️
I prefer a more vintage style. Color is great, just nothing neon.
Nature themes: botanicals 🌿, bees 🐝, butterflies 🦋 and dragonflies, birds 🦉, flowers 🌸 , mushrooms 🍄 People are good too and definitely have a place in any journal.
Things I Love
I love to gelli print and seeing what others do.
Eco printing and handmade paper are beautiful!
Vintage papers from journals, ledgers and old books make my heart race! Anything handwritten; letters, recipes, old postcards, envelopes.
Vintage looking washi and washi stickers, antique photos. Labels!! Lace! Old looking ephemera (tickets, tags). Sari silk! Metal embellishments.
Thank you for reading through all of this! Just know I’m easy and like most everything- so no worries! Looking forward to creating and swapping with you!
