Back by popular demand!

The inspiration for this swap comes from the movie 28 Days Later, particularly the scene where Jim finds the bulletin boards covered in notes from evacuees, and also the one with the note from his parents.

Write 3 notes for each of 3 partners (for a total of 9) as if you were caught in a zombie apocalypse. They can be the sort you'd leave behind at your house to tell loved ones how to find you, a poster asking for help finding somebody, directions to a safehouse, or anything you can think of. Use your imagination! You can use any sort of paper you like, and maybe dirty or rough it up a little to make it look authentic. They can be written "from" yourself or different people, and "to" anyone you like.

Newbies are welcome, and I can angel, but please don't make that necessary! Flakers will be fed to the zombies.

I usually don't like to do swaps where there are more then one partner to send to, but I am a total zombie addict and I think this is one of the most amazing swaps ever.

I hope people really take this seriously and put everything into it. I'll probably be re-watching The Walking Dead first season while I'm doing this to really get in the "zombie" mood. :)

I am beyond excited for this!!

Oh thank you I've been patiently waiting

@cerenaleigh I made this for multiple partners because the idea of the swap is that each note tells a tiny piece of a larger story about the apocalypse, and I think the wider variety helps that. I didn't know about it at the time I did round 1, but there's a book that tells its entire story that way. I've since bought it, it's fantastic.

I am open to suggestions on the number of partners and notes for future rounds, if anyone else has an opinion on that!

I think 3 notes for 3 partners is a good number. I'm really looking forward to recieving them. I'm thinking of ways to make them as authentic as possible. And thanks for the link to the book! It looks amazing.

if this is going to be a long lasting series, I'M IN!!!

I came up with an idea I had to share I loved it so much. I created the notes, the memoribilia of the end of the world, and then wrote a narrative of the man those items came from. It's a short story that makes mentions of the momentos and stitches them all together. I hope the work I've put into this makes someone happy. I'm making four of everything and using my own set to start a scapbook story.

Can we do an email version next? 9 letters costs a lot in postage! Especially since I live in Canada. Over $1 per letter and almost $2 international!

Inox 03/14/2012 #

@thebragal feel free to do an email version if you like, but the appeal of this swap for me is having something real to hold in my hand. I feel your pain on the Canadian postage, but this swap only involves sending out 3 envelopes, with 3 notes inside each.
