You will make 3 ATCs for 2 partners, send each partner 3 ATCs, for a total of 6 ATCs for this swap.

This is an international swap.

Thanks for playing!

I would love to sign up for this but worried in case i dont get my cards, i lost 10 cards last month

ChristineMM 01/ 3/2007 #

I am pretty new to Swap-Bot and have tried to weed out the problem people by saying only a 4+ rating. I don't know what else to do.

In addition to everyone actually sending out their swaps as they have committed to do, all of us as participants should make sure that we are rating our partners. I sent out a lot of swaps in Nov and Dec and only half the people are "giving me credit" for sending their swaps. So the issue is not only the people who don't send but also those who do receive but don't take the time to rate their partners.

Swapping here on Swap-Bot is cheaper than doing it through Yahoo Groups so that is why I am giving this site a chance.

As a host I plan to keep track of the no-sender's and to ban them from my future swaps. Not sure what else I can do as the host. So far that is the only thing I can do!

Yep, that's one of the drawbacks with swapping with complete strangers. I have not been rated for several of my efforts, and recently, got a three, for something I mailed in plenty of time, and apparently to the delight of my partner! It's not earthshattering, but a little annoying when you do your best and don't get acknowledged for it. Nothing's pefect....

I want to sign up for this swap but I am new to creating ATCs. Is it okay to still join?

ChristineMM 01/ 8/2007 #

This sounds like a ATC swap I want to join. Thanks for Hosting this ChristineMM

enakitty 01/16/2007 #

i'm new and not sure how this works....do i get an email telling me who to send the goodies to?? thanks

ChristineMM 01/20/2007 #

Enakitty, the FAQ explains it. Quickly I will say that after the sign up date is over you visit this page and one option at the top for you to click on is to view your swap partners and that is how you get the data. They don't email it to you. Then after you mail your ATCs you come back to this page and click the area to notify Swap-bot that you sent yours out. Hope this helps. For more info check the FAQ which can be clicked to from the upper left hand corner of the screen. :)

I am missing one-third of the swaps I joined since september. I am thinking about hosting some swaps, and I plan to set the rules not according to rating, but having a ZERO TOLERENCE FOR NO SENDERS rule. sending late is not the crime of the century, but never getting it at all is rotten! I wish all swap hosts would take this attitude and I personally believe all our chances for getting our cards will be a lot better. since those who dont send will only be able to do it once! not multiple times as is with the rating rules as it can take a while to get below so they cant join... hope this helps! SageWind, as of right now I have not received 1/3 of the swaps I signed up for either. I joined in October. I am getting flack from some on the 4.5 rating minimum. I can imagine with a zero tolerance rule you will get flack (be prepared). Go for it and host some swaps.

I am thinking of some themes now to post now for later on. One other thought I have is perhaps a very long signup period is not good as someone may sign up early and then have something happen later and then send late or don't send at all. Then again a short sign up and send out period may be tricky if one small thing goes wrong it throws the whole thing off and messes things up.

I don't think there is a perfect solution.

Lastly I still am dealing with me sending swaps per the rules but so many are not rating me so I'm not getting the good credit I deserve, which to me, is odd, isn't it?

Christine et al---- On the rating.........most people don't know how....This is from my experience. What I have done and it's a pain....I copied all my swaps, then went back in to each swap of those that didn't rate and I asked them to please rate me....most didn't know how so I had to tell them and they did. Swap bot being so new to all of us, it takes awhile to figure it out. They have now also added a heart you can add if you would like if you get a really great swap....That is under the rate your partners names...hope this helps. Janet
