Description:

Don't want to give up your stamps in a swap??? How about making some stamped images of your favourite stamps and sending them to your partner. Take two sheets of cardstock (usually a light colour) make them into quarters and stamp 8 of your favourite images onto them. If it's a small stamp, you may want to stamp it more than once on the 1/4 sheet of cardstock. Please use a permanent ink, that way people can colour it in and not have the image run. If you know who the stamp is made by, please write it in pencil on the back of the cardstock, I've bought many stamps just from seeing an image that someone else sent to me. Please list your style below if you don't have it in your bio. Don't forget to put your swap-bot name with the images as well as your "real" name, it makes it much easier when you have to rate someone, also write "stamped image swap" on the envelope so people know which swap it's for. If you have multiple no sends, you will be banned from the swap. I welcome new people as long as they are prepared to swap and rate their partners. Thanks so much for playing.

I like funky images like Tattered Circus, Teesha Moore. I also love mythical creatures and beings, faeries, dragons, native folklore images, and celtic images. I don't like cute particularly. I am also looking for more sayings and words, particularly gratitude and thank you, thanks, or appreciation sayings.

user2161 07/27/2006 #

Im into artistic, vintage, collage type stamps. No cutesy or wording unless its art type wording.

stonekeepers 07/27/2006 #

I have a question...Are we supposed to stamp 8 images on each quarter sheet or 8 images total?

I also like artsy, victorian, collage, same sort of things as mentioned above...please no cutesy teddy bear stuff. I don't like Stampin Up stuff much either.

I think this will be a good swap...thanks for thinking of it.

groovyholly 07/27/2006 #

You are supposed to stamp one image on each 1/4 sheet of cardstock. If the images are really small on the 1/4 sheet, then, by all means stamp a few more, just leave some room around them.

beckylicious721 07/28/2006 #

I don't have a lot of different stamps so I want to accommodate the likes of whoever I am sending to but at the same time, I might have to ge creative with combining some - would that be okay?

user1106 07/28/2006 #

I (also) like artistic, weird, collage, woman, fairys, dragons, words, dragonflys, butterflys, victorian, quotes, nature.

NOTHING CUTESY

groovyholly 07/30/2006 #

Beckylicious, be as creative as you need to be.

Zmrzlina 07/30/2006 #

I don't like cutesy unless related to bees or camels. Quotes are great unless religious or politically conservative. Very fond of architectural details. Love anything to do with beverages.

Zmrzlina 07/30/2006 #

Amateur question, how big is the cardstock to begin with? I've got square sheets that are 12" (30.48 cm) and smaller sheets that are standard letter size (8.5 x 11 or 21.59 cm x 27.94 cm). I want to get started so that I have a technique perfected before the swap starts :)

stonekeepers 08/ 2/2006 #

I would also like to know the size of paper we should use.

user2148 08/ 2/2006 #

I own most Stampin-up stamps and need more artistic images - nudes, faries, food/drink, architectural, artistic quotes, collage images, mythical, nothing cutesy - no animals smiling!

groovyholly 08/ 3/2006 #

The cardstock should be 8 1/2 x 11, sorry for not clarifying that earlier. I'm used to my card group an we just know what the size is. Hope that clears it up.

stonekeepers 08/ 4/2006 #

Thanks, groovyholly for the info on the paper. I use a lot of 12x12 scrapbook paper as well, but also have plenty of plain letter size cardstock in my paper arsenal.

cookiebear 08/ 6/2006 #

I like Asian, vintage, collage, fine art, women, funky, nature. Goldfish and Koi definitely would be a bonus! Or just surprise me. :o) Prefer nothing cutesy, please.

user1185 08/11/2006 #

I like Teesha Moore, Zetti style, timepieces, postage related, funky, bizarre circus, geometrics, collage type, weird.

No cutesy, please!

If you draw me, please list your preferences, I would love to please!
