I haven't been on prior to early march, since October 2010. It's been a crazy couple of years for this girl. But I'm back. :)

I have had some swaps go missing from May. I used the community mailbox and when I enquired with the mail man someone had been breaking into it and stealing the mail. If you're missing something, PLEASE let me know. :(

I mail my cards in the evening from the physical post office because my husband works and has the car all day. In the event they are mailed on the last day, it is quite possible they will have the following day's postmark depending on what time I get to the post office. This is the nature of the beast and once I drop them in the box, they're in the hands of the USPS. If the swap is date sensitive, such as 10-11-12, I will make sure it gets postmarked that day.

I am not a professional artist and I believe beauty is in the eye of the artist. Please don't rate others down because you don't like their work. My ex-husband works in the Hirshorn Museum and I hate 99% of the art in that building, which The American Taxpayer probably spent millions on. :\ Art is a language you're not always going to understand.

I was born & raised in Northern Virginia. I like to think I'm a child of the world. If I were rich I would start a museum for jewelry from all over the world. If I could go anywhere it would be Iceland. If I could live anywhere else, it would be England. When I grow up I want to be cop/firefighter/astronaut/photographer/philanthropist. (Honestly I don't know what I want to be when I grow up, and I'm 28!)

I spend most of my time hoping a perky little alien with a British accent will show up in his Police Call Box to save me from the monotony of this life.

My personal beliefs tend to follow the "do unto others" mindset with no core religion. I tend to appreciate Pagan traditions far more than monotheistic traditions. I believe in equality for everyone and that love IS the only house big enough for all the pain in the world.

I haves two pet wabbits, named Willow & Xander. Willow is the prissiest person I have ever known. She loves comic books, books books...coupons...anything with glossy paper! Xander is completely passive and likes to sit on his throne all day.... ;)

I also have a dog named Aislynn (eyes-lin) who is 3 month old (as of 04-12) Dobberman/Lab/GreatDane/Pitbull wondermutt. She's a PITA.

Then there is the cat... Raven. She's a black domestic short-hair with yellow eyes and abandonment issues. She's very clingy.

I have one ex-husband who made me a huge comic nerd. (Punisher for life...Batman is a wuss.) I remarried to the US Navy. Well, to a Sailor in The US Navy. He is now out of the military and we're struggling to find work. We have no children...well other than the dog, cat & two rabbits.

I have 15 orchids. Only one of which I have gotten to re-bloom, but the fact I have kept them alive makes me ever hopeful.
