Bittersweetness

Hi! I'm a 40-something homemaker in the Atlanta Georgia area of the USA. I enjoy doing nail art, playing video games, collecting cute things, and dabbling in all sorts of arts and crafts.

Sorry about the length of the profile, it's not really as long as it looks! I just like lists!

I got started on snail mailing through Postcrossing and exchanging happy mail on reddit. The sending is my favorite part, I really like trying to match what I'm sending to peoples interests. I'm super new to the site so please, if I'm doing something incorrectly reach out and let a girl know!

I like cute, kawaii, dreamy, cosmic, vintage, mysterious, weird, witchy and kitschy things. I like pastels and muted colors, bold contrasting colors, blacks and whites. Olive green. Purples. Streaming sunlight, dreamy scenes, crisp uniforms and boots, neon lights, ruins and forgotten places.

Like a lot of us here I enjoy papercrafts. I like doing intricate cuttings, modular origami and quilling. I dabble a bit in cross-stitch and crocheting but have never had a baby blanket or scarf come out straight. I recently picked up needle felting and am excited to delve more into it!

I collect washi tapes, paper and stickers and am always looking for ways to incorporate them into the things I do.

For blank postcards, I would appreciate anything that's a general enough topic with wide appeal so I can use it for Postcrossing! Postcards from boxed sets, Birds, Lighthouses, Flowers, maps, Doors/Windows, Fotofolio, Trains, etc. would be much appreciated!

Frankendecks

I'd like to complete a Bicycle brand Frankendeck. Something about the way the cards feel and slide off each other really gets me. I love it. No worries if you don't have this brand of cards, I'll just keep swapping till I get there!

Please don't send

Although I appreciate the idea, please don't send any foods or drink packets/tea. I don't really consume these. It feels bad throwing them away and feels weird passing them along. Save them for someone who'll love them!
