My world is going well at the moment I am going to be a grandmother again in July this time I hope that it is a boy. And I am back at work as full time as the industry allows, all the clients want to get up at the same time so you can only be in one place at a time, there is a big need for the inhome type care

I am a grandmother of 60+years have 4 grandkids aged from 18 months to 13 years old. I now have another Grandkid she was born on the 16th January 2011 and is just so cute. I work as a support worker, that is I help disabled people in their own homes. I help with "all daily living activities" and as I work all sorts of hours my family have my photo on the fridge so they know what I look like. LOL My favourite colour is purple,
I have a cat who thinks that he is a human and we are his staff, I am not very good at spelling but I try. I have found that when I do my swaps and then take them to be posted on the way to work I have found that they get lost in the bottom of the work bag, and I have been known to not post them on time and/or not mark sent. The main thing I try very hard to do is post on time.

I like to read science fiction and have just discovered some of the vampirer type books. Have been known to read Clive Clusser stories, Harry Turtledove "World War" stories. And a long time favourite Dragon riders of Pern. Another book that I have enjoyed reading is "The cat that" and I have forgotten the lady's name who wrote them. I have been reading Terry Pratchett's books about Discworld and have collected most of them, and the other half is almost as smitten with them as I am. I get a lot of different books from the local libaries, so that means that I don't always know or remember the authors, but I just read a lot of books, it's my escape. I also have a lot of Beading books. The music I like is Elvis, Dolly Parton, some church music and Quiet/ easy listening. The boys listen to some stuff that is not for me.

I am a lace maker [bobbin lace]. Also do a lot of beading. A new craft that I can blame my sister for starting me on is Kumihimo [japanes braid] with beads, as if I needed any more crafts to get involved with. BUT it is fun. Have been know to have a go at most types of craft. I collect things like Dragons, Pelicans, & Gargoles. I am now real happy to have discovered ATC and have found that because I am just starting to do them, and I am not much of an artist so I make an effort to get things that meet the theme. As my skill is increasing I find that the ideas are getting easier to do and find.

I enjoy a lot of different shows, Dr Who, Bones, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Myth busters, I also realy enjoyed Star Trek and Star Wars also Toy Story,and those type of cartoons movies. And think that Advatar was one of the best movies that I have seen for a long time. Also I now am a real fan of Dirty Jobs, have been getting the other half to record them when I am at work so now I have a couple of discs that I can watch when I want a good cheer up .

I am a collector of a lot of things a bit of a bower bird, if it is purple I am happy with most things,
I have a sweet tooth, not so rapt in those packets of drinking chocolate. It is not a good idea to send tea to Australia they get a bit upset when they find it in the mail. I collect anything about pelicans, dragons [the softer ones cartoon type] and gargoles.

This is just to say that sometimes I post my swaps on the way to work,so I might not post that I have posted them till a bit later. Then I sometimes pick them up from the post office on the way to work and then don't get to rated it till much later on.
I try very hard to get every thing done on time. But some times my other life gets in the way of my craft life. Something that I think is a very nice touch for the swaps is to put a little note in just to say Hi, it makes it more friendly and personal.

Can somebody please tell me how you can keep track of what you receive and send, I have a book that I write things into but things slip through.

Thank you to all the lovely people who have sent me the info on what the 2 letters mean for the states of the United States. And all the other questions that I have and will ask. It never ceases to amaze me about what people know and are willing to share. with complete strangers well I suppose we are all friends by way of craft.
