9/30/2020 ~ My daughter has just signed up for her own account .. @morganmaybelater She still lives at home, so we share a mailing address, but Admin has been notified. (We typically will not be joining the same type of swaps, as I'm into papercrafts, and she is more into fiber arts.)

7/24/2020 ~ I’m the “new kid on the bot”, so bear with me that I don’t have a lot filled out yet .. but I’m getting there!!

I’m Jen .. a Texas girl, born and raised. I was born in Houston, but moved when I was very young, and have lived in / around small-town North Texas nearly all my life. I’m Mom to a wonderful 21-year-old daughter and a (surprise!!) very rambunctious 9-year-old little boy that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I also have three sweet furbabies – my Doxie (Zero) and kitties (Mia and Baby Doll). ** UPDATE: we just adopted a tiny fuzzball kitten named Gizmo on 7/30/2020. He looks to be a Maine Coon with a little bobtail .. so cute!!

My hobbies include: -- Scrapbooking ~ I’m a paper and sticker collector / accumulator .. I love both!! I don’t really have a “style”, as every one of my pages are different. I just do whatever works at the time, but I’m definitely not afraid of color or patterns, and all my pages have to be full and balanced. I don’t like a lot of negative space .. there’s likely to be some type of filler or ephemera in that space! Lol

-- Volunteering at my kids’ schools ~ I did this all through my daughter’s school years. Then just after she graduated, little brother began Kindergarten. I’ve enjoyed being Room Mom for their classes, volunteering to read stories to the class, helping with fundraisers, etc. (Once, for my daughter’s Forensic Science Class, I even volunteered to be a ‘dead body in a body bag’ .. she was embarrassed, but her friends loved it!)

-- Bike riding ~ not like mountain biking .. just leisurely riding around the neighborhood or on the local trails, seeing nature.

Scrapbooking is my #1 favorite craft. I love to use fibers, ribbons, stickers, and lots of ephemera on my pages, and I'm definitely not afraid of color.

I'm open to trying other crafts, but so far, I've really only branched out to stamping or die cutting .. things that I can use IN my scrapbooking.

OTHER FAVORITE SUPPLIES Some of my favorite things to use in my Scrapping / Crafting are: Alphabet stickers .. Decorative stickers .. Deco squares .. Glitter / confetti .. Puzzle pieces .. SOME FAVORITE SCRAPBOOKING SUBJECTS Disney / Universal Studios (still have to scrap my daughter's Make-A-Wish trip to Disney) .. animals / pets (have a lifetime of pet pictures) .. Band / School activities .. Soccer (son played for a few years) .. Nature / camping / outdoors / flowers .. any random girl / boy themes (have lots of catching up to do from both my kids' growing up years)

• I did recently buy a Cricut, but I'm still learning how to do decals and things with vinyl. Mostly, I'm using it for paper / scrapping .. that's always been my main passion. ((But I'm getting better with decals and making my own stickers!))

I love COLOR!! My single favorite would probably have to be blue (especially royal blue) but I love shades of teal, as well. I’m definitely not afraid of color, but my preferred palette depends on my mood of the day. My house is primarily decorated in shades of navy blue / hunter green / burgundy with gray / black / white accents. But when crafting, some days I’m drawn to using primary colors .. other days, it’s earthy or jewel tones .. sometimes I feel like neons are what’s needed! So pretty much, anything goes!

I'm also not afraid of PATTERNS. I especially love the 'watercolor' look, but also like plaids, floral, stripes, polka dots, chevron, paisley, etc. For craft supplies, they can be subtle or "busy", I don't mind either one.

I’m ‘borrowing’ the ABC idea for some more “About Me” facts and to list some additional favorites and things I wouldn't mind receiving: A– Animal lover (I’ve had cats, dogs, ferrets, rabbits, and ducks as pets, so of course all these .. but I also love sloths, llamas, monkeys, turtles, giraffes, and otters) .. ATC's .... B– Beach .. Buttons .... C– Chocolate (plain M&M’s and Reese’s cups are the best!) .. Craft supplies .. Chick-fil-A .... D– Disney / Pixar movies .. Die-cuts .. Dr.Seuss .... E– Ephemera .. Embellishments (paperclips, brads, twine) .. Eeyore .... F– Fibers / textures .... G– Glitter / sparkly stuff .... H– Hot Chocolate .. Hockey (watching) .... I– Inspirational reading (I'm not overly religious, but I love the 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' books, Pennies from Heaven stories, guardian angels, etc .. DISLIKES I'm really pretty flexible .. there's not a lot that I don't like! About the only things I'm not a fan of are: Horror movies / themes .. Floral -scented- things (I love decorative flowers and things, but allergies don't allow me to have / use floral scented stuff.)

I love / collect: -- Dachshunds – I have a 6yo Doxie, and I absolutely love them. My daughter named him “Zero” after the ghost dog (who resembles a dachshund) in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

-- Anything Eeyore – I’ve always loved this little guy from Winnie the Pooh

-- Items from the movie ‘A Christmas Story’ – especially anything with the “leg lamp” on it. (The "pink bunny suit" is also a favorite) I have a crazy obsession with this movie, and watch the 24-hour marathon on Christmas Eve every year.

-- The Grinch – Another favorite Christmas movie!! The original and animated remakes are my favorites, but the Jim Carey version is okay. (Max is pretty cute, too!)

-- The Genie from Aladdin – my most favorite Disney movie ever! I love the music, the animation, and the personality that Robin Williams gave to the character. (Don't get me wrong .. Will Smith did great in the remake, but he just doesn't compare to the original.)

-- Anything pertaining to Robin Williams – I’ve seen just about every movie he’s ever been in, but some of my favorites include: The Fisher King, Aladdin (see above), Mrs.Doubtfire, Patch Adams, RV, The Birdcage, Good Will Hunting and Jumanji. He was always my favorite actor, and I was devastated when he passed away.

Pretty much all I do is work, spend time with my kiddos and pets, and craft. So pretty much anything I receive will -somehow- be incorporated into a future project ;)
