I am a lover and dealer of all things VINTAGE, the owner of a vintage furniture/housewares store in Philadelphia. I have been dealing and collecting vintage clothing, costume jewelry, housewares, books, sewing materials, ephemera etc. for almost 20 years now. I am lucky because I get to thrift for a LIVING and spend my days treasure-hunting. I love old things, especially anything from the 1920's - 1960's.

The problem with coming into so many of these beautiful old items is that now I'm almost cluttered with bits and bobs ~ I destash OFTEN and will always have cute stuff onhand for just about any kind of themed swap.

I sign decos and swap them in a lovely circle of people who are outside of swap-bot. Photos of my deco pages etc can be found on my flickr link. I never flake on my swap-friends and will never flake on any swap-partners.

Oldies like Cole Porter, Buddy Holly, Nancy Sinatra, Lesley Gore, Dusty Springfield, etc.

• I am VERY picky about music. Chances are I will never join a music swap because my tastes are very specific, and at my age (late 30's) I am pretty set in this. If there are any general swaps that I am participating in that have anything to do with music I would just ask that you take a moment to check out the specific bands listed above and maybe enclose something having to do with them, like a handmade pin or a computer-made sticker / bookmark or something like that, even if you have to google search .. it's all appreciated. Thank you.

I love authors like Augusten Burroughs, David Sedaris, Michele Tea, Sara Waters, and Chuck Palahniuk. I will read just about anything from fiction to historical fiction to horror/mystery to true crime. I devour mid-century decorating books like a woman possessed; same for vintage fashion guides.

I do not like comics or graphic novels in any form. No manga, hack, slash or whatever the heck it's all called. The only comic I ever got into was Tank Girl and I have all those books starting from #1. :)

Mad Men,True Blood, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, Law & Order Criminal Intent, Cold Case, Hoarders, Animal Hoarders, Turner Classic Movies, Alfred Hitchcock movies & the tv show... just about anything on HGTV (except when they're taking a sledgehammer to a pink bathroom) or Animal Planet. I LIVE for holiday weekends for The Twilight Zone marathons!

I'm into mixed media art, decos / some friendship books, collage art, stamping, art journaling, and a little bit of sewing. I try to use materials that are vintage, one of a kind, and old. Sometimes I use scans, mostly I use originals, I find great resources in vintage childrens books, vintage cooking pamphlets, and vintage home decor magazines.

01/01/2012: Swap-Bot now has me addicted to ATC's! I love making ATC's with vintage materials, magazine clippings, wrapping papers, jewelry findings etc. Unless it's absolutely 100% avoidable, no one will ever get an ATC from me made out of a cheesey computer print out or sub-quality scan or copy. I can't draw for shit, but I can at least make them look nice in other ways. :)

Also - I can always use those little round color stickers that you find in office supply stores ~ especially in odd colors. Neon, pastel, and primary colors OK. I use these ALOT in my art.

"Shabby Chic" style items, Americana / Folksy / Country themed items, Cats, The Beatles (yep!), Twilight & Harry Potter crap, and Wind Chimes.

Things that will make me cry in fear: Spiders, Clowns, Any kind of BUG except ladybugs, Sock Monkeys & regular monkeys.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND:: ~wool, wool-blended, felted items (it's not felt; it's wool). i have severe allergies to wool.

~beads. i'm helpless with beading and they all just end up embedded in my shag carpet, laying in wait for an opportunity to come out & kill my vacuum cleaner.

~tea in bags / packaged drinks. i have a pot and use loose-leaf teas and am well-stocked in those, thank you!

And again, graphic novels, comics, manga etc.

Also, I would happily Angel anyone in a swap I'm involved in who happened to not get a package. 9 times out of 10, I have more than enough for 2 people in any swap that I join ~ swap hosts just pm me, I'll step up! Thanks!

If you do not recieve your package from me and it is marked "sent" on the swap page, please contact me asap and I will track it down. I put USPS delivery confirmation on everything to avoid issues.

Got my package but are disappointed? Message me and let me know why! I won't be offended, angry or anything like that. I will do what I can to make it right by you OK? You shouldn't be stuck with a less-than-stellar swap so you tell ME what I can do to make it better for YOU! :)
