I'm a retired family nurse practitioner, married with one daughter and 3 grandsons. My daughter introduced me to pocket letters when I retired. I've never considered myself creative but she persuaded me to try doing the Pocket letters. Now I'm addicted. It's relaxing; a good stress reliever. It's fun and exciting to get a surprise in the mail. She later suggested that I try swap bot as well so here I am looking for other swaps.

As a nurse practitioner, I worked with all ages but especially liked taking care of children. They are so funny and are special to me.

My hobbies now are doing jigsaw and word search puzzles, gardening (both vegetables and flowers) and watching the many birds that frequent our yard. Bluebirds, humming birds, and cardinals are my favorite birds. Our yard has multiple feeders and bird baths for them. Because we love butterflies , I planted flowers and shrubs that attract them. Deer, squirrels, rabbits, opossums and foxes have been known to visit us as well. We won't harm them, so have to share our garden bounty and sometimes my flowers with them.

Because I really appreciate the beauty of nature, I'd rather be outside working than cleaning house Though I like the house clean, I figure rainy days are designed for that

Ialso love birds ( blue birds,Baltimore orioles,and humming birds) are my favorite. I appreciate tbeauty of nature and like to be outside. I'd much rather do yard work than housework.

I like old homes and buildings. To me they are beautiful. I like the vintage look.

I like going to museums (like the impressionist paintings best, particularly Monet) and researching our genealogy.

My favorite music is from the 60's and 70's ; especially what is called beach music in the south. That was great music to dance to, and I loved to dance. I also enjoy some country music , jazz, and some classical.

I'm an avid reader and usually have a book with me if I expect to have to wait somewhere. Mysteries, history, time travel, and romance are my favorites.

My favorite movie is Gone With The Wind. An old one with Peter Sellers in it called the Party is probably my second. Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings movies were also good.

My husband and I are addicted to British television. We watch it on Acorn tv and our PBS station.

I love to travel! England is my favorite place to visit. My husband and I really like train travel because you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
