Lawyer by day, creative soul at heart. I've been into photography for years, and in my search to do something creative with my photos, I stumbled into art journaling, and other assorted paper crafts, like journal making, card making, ATC making, and Project Life. Right now, I'm trying not to fall into the Planner community hole, although I think I really really want a Happy Planner.

I recently moved from Philadelphia to the 'burbs, where I live in an old stone house with my awesome husband, and 2 excellent Boston Terriers, Lemon and Olive. Coinciding with the move, I've become interested in all things mail related,including swapping. I don't know what it is about moving out of the city, but my mailbox seems to give me a greater sense of connection.

As I said I'm a lawyer by day - a public defender. I'm 47, and I've been at my job now for nearly 20 years. I only work on homicide cases. I spend a lot of my time in court, or at the prison. It's very dreary, to say the least. Art and crafting is definitely therapeutic when I come home from work.

I've been knitting for at least 15 years, and I recently taught myself to crochet. I also dabble a bit in embroidery and quilting. Every once in awhile I go on a doll making kick too - I don't know what to do with them when I'm done, but it's fun.

Right now, I'm nearing the end of the third book of the Neapolitan Series, Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay. I'm totally over it, but I have to find out what happens, so I'll be muddling through and then reading book 4.

My husband and I are both movie junkies. We try to see everything as it hits the theaters. Oscar season is definitely my time of year!
