I'm a 23 years old nerdette from Germany. I am working as software-engineer since I graduated from university last year.

I really like my job, because I create stuff (mostly applications) that helps people doing their stuff (work or daily issues). I somewhat see programming as creative work but nonetheless I discovered handicrafts for me some time ago. ;)

So, I am as normal as anyone claims to be. Sometimes crazy, sensitive, silly, stressed, in love, philosophic and in the end just: me. Hello :)

When I was younger I was mostly into thriller and crime novels. Eventually I came across some fantasy and am stuck there pretty much since today.

This however does not keep me from reading books outside the world of dragons and elves. I am happy with anything that catches my interest either by an interesting plot or some excentric protagonist.

I have to admit: I love Disney! And I still think Disney movies are not entirely for kids and I love the songs. I cannot help it. ;)

If it comes to animated movies I am also a big fan of the Studio Ghibli movies. Mononoke, Totoro... :)

Apart from that I really like the Marvel movies. And indie films - the movies, that are different from the plain blockbusters.

In the end I watch a lot of stuff, good and bad ones. Somewhere among are some really nice surprises.

Another confession I have to make: I am a series junkie. One of my alltime favorites is Gilmore Girls. I really enjoy watching it, even if it's for the fifth time.

Besides Gilmore Girls I watch similar shows, like One Tree Hill, Everwood, The O.C. - all this teen stuff. :D

If I grow tired of these I have some others in my collection that are a little different. E.g. Alias, Homeland or Firefly.

I am constantly looking out for new shows that want to be discovered, but there's just not enough time. ;)

Well, I consider myself not especially picky. I am easy to please and happy if I see that there was some thought about what's been given to or done for me.

Still there are some things I don't like as much as others. So here's a little list as reference. ;)

• In general I prefer simple designs and functional things over cheesy or pointless stuff.
• Tea: I really love all kinds of fruit tea and fruit flavoured teas, herbal, green and white teas are good as well. I don't like black or rooibos tea.
• Colors: I think I am a very colorful type. I have no real dislikes, but pink and violet are not among my favourites.
• Bookmarks: It took me a while but christmas 2012 I bought an e-book reader. Hence I do not need bookmarks anymore. ;)
• Chocolate: I really love milk and white chocolate. But I'm no fan of bitter or spicy ones.
• Allergies: This one is easy. I have none.
• Socks: Pretty average feet of 39/40 (EU), 6,5/7,5 (UK), 8/9 (US).
• Postcards: I like landscapes or architecture, touristy if it shows your area/town and artsy or even "odd" (meaning not what you see every day) cards. ;) Please don't send me animals or ad postcards.

I think the following infos are a no-brainer, but still...

I only sign up for swaps that I like to do and want to send. Sometimes it takes a little longer, I am better with deadlines. ;)

When my mail arrived at yours, please let me know. Either pm or rating is fine by me.

I mark the letters sent when I dropped them at the post office or post box. Usually they are on their way on the same day or maybe the next.
