I am a full-time legal assistant (I love my job!) (UPDATE: I'm retired now!), as well as the mother of four grown sons, and the grandmother of their seven beautiful children (five boys and two girls). For fun and relaxation, I like to spend time around water ... beautiful Lake Michigan, any one of many delightful Michigan rivers, or in my own backyard pool. For sanity and therapy, I do crafts. My main creative outlets are cake decorating (UPDATE: not so much anymore), and making greeting cards (mostly stamping). I used to sew, but pretty much have set that aside, other than to occasionally make flannel "rag quilts" for babies. I have a wonderful DIL in New Zealand who is a excellent cook and seamstress (and crafter), who motivates me to try new things.

I also really enjoy going to movies. Pre-pandemic, I typically saw every movie that was nomonated for an academy award, prior to Oscar night. My favorite plays include Les Miz, RENT, Wicked, Phantom, and my very favorite...Hamilton! The Eagles, Coldplay, Sarah Brightman, Jimmy Buffet, and Ed Sheeran music are among my favorites, but I also really enjoy music soundtracks from my favorite plays .

I have a great space for crafting ... lots of room, workspace, privacy, and good lighting, beautiful shades of lime and turquoise, with bright white trim. It's wonderful, thanks to the handiwork of a couple of my sons.

I love summer (we do have beautiful summers in West Michigan), and I love to spend as much time as possible in my pool, typically with my 7-yr. old grandson, who also loves summer and water! *** (UPDATE- that grandson is now 19, and spends summers building pools for the same company that built mine!) I actually enjoy our beautiful winters too (although not as much as summer!) I'm more of a winter spectator, rather than participant, but winter is a great time for crafting.

Let's see ... as far as colors, I love bright colors...different shades of green, yellow, pinks and orange, but I also like white, teal, and various shades of brown and gray. I'm rather conservative by nature; not into dark or goth. My jewelry is very conservative. I like plants, flowers, water (rivers, lakes, etc.), kayaking, babies, children, and nature.

I like chocolate in moderation, I don't drink coffee (I do drink hot chocolate though). I love to cook and bake, and I love and am impressed by home-made crafts.

I don't like cartoony, cutesy things, as a rule, or stickers. I love paper, ink, and embellishments!
