I am a jewelry and assemblege artist. My favorite medium is mixed media. I also love working with glass. Both stain glass and fused glass.I enjoy all forms of art. Sculpture being a favorite. I'm hoping by joining Swap-Bot I will find new challenges and inspiration.

I am also a mom. I have two kids. My daughter, Nicole, is 32 and my son, Brandon, is 23.

I dearly love animals. I have two cats and two dogs. I rescued my dogs after they had been dumped along a highway. In fact I rescued three dogs and gave one to my daughter. All three are boys. Nicole named her guy Arthur and I named my two Lancelot and Percival. I learned later, that my daughter named her dog after Arthur Russell and not the king of the round table. Oh well, still works for me. I'm a big dog person. The bigger the better. I have never really connected with the little guys. Until now! Percy and Lance each weigh about 12 lbs. and I could not love them more. What little bunddles of joy they are!

I have been in the antique business for many years and appreciate vintage style. The arts and crafts era of the 1930's and 1940's is my favorite. Art nouveau and art deco are beautiful as well.

Here is a list of things I like:

-Purple has been my favorite color since childhood. These days, I seem to be leaning towards teal, salmon, coral and royal blue. I like most colors, but pastels are not my cup of tea.

-I love the statuary in cemetery's. The angels always have some natural wear and interesting patinas. I like the look of time.

-I love animals! Wolves are a favorite.

-Vintage! I have an antique business And sell on etsy so I appreciate all things vintage.

-I really enjoy spending time outdoors. Camping, hiking and kayaking.

-I study the martial arts. Karate and a Filipino martial art known as Cabales Serrada Escrima.

-I have been drawing for most of my life and love to express myself that way.

-My favorite genre of book or movie is science fiction or fantasy. But I will read any book recommended to me by friends.

-Crows and or ravens. And the idea that they somehow travel a bridge from life to death and back.

-I hesitate to say that I like things to do with the supernatural because it's not so much the creepy factor that attracts me but the idea of a connection that transcends death, that I find so fascinating. As much as I would like to believe in ghosts, I'm not sure I do. But the idea draws me in every time.

-I love reading! And one of the types of books I really enjoy are graphic novels. Not only is it great reading but often wonderful art. The Sandman series is a favorite.

• I admire those who can make art out of discarded or broken things. I try to do this whenever possible. But I enjoy seeing the creativity of others to take trash and make it treasure.

Things I like to make or would like to try making.

-Assemblage art. I use broken and found items to create one of a kind pieces.

-ATCs And handmade postcards.

-Jewelry, jewelry, jewelry! I have used many different mediums. Silversmithing, fused and dichroic glass, broken china, stained glass and vintage assembly. I enjoy creating things with mixed mediums.
