hello. i live in wellington, new zealand. it's often cold here. i like winter things - cups of tea and teapots, books - i LOVE reading, scarves, but i grew up at the beach and miss the sun sometimes. i write short stories and poetry, i love movies, and animal figurines, photographs, postcards, cities. and cutting and pasting pretty much anything.

blues, alt country.. alternative or americana, they generally call the kind of stuff i like, in music stores. some things i love: sun kil moon, tom waits, the flaming lips, joanna newsom, beirut.

some movies that are my favourites are i heart huckabees, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, donnie darko, magnolia & garden state.

most beloved authors off the top of my head are: miranda july, marilynne robinson, alice munro, italo calvino, joe meno, nicole krauss, jonathon safran foer, saul bellow, jo randerson, billy collins, mark strand, lorca.

buffy, angel, twin peaks, carnivale, northern exposure, firefly, arrested development, dead like me.

i love scrapbooking in the sense of scrapping things together with a purpose like a present, i'm not so good at upkeeping a scrapbook for myself. i like making useful things pretty - jars, holders, old books..i love cross stitch. my goal is to knit a big afhgan for my self like my nanna had.
