I'm Issy, from Henley on Thames, a pretty riverside town in the south of England. Henley is most famous for the Royal Regatta, I am very lucky to live in this quintessentially English town. I grew up climbing trees, listening to Britpop and drawing everything.

I love art, and have not enough time for big projects, as I'm mum to two beautiful kids, Dylan aged 4 and Alexa aged 2. I have got time, however to pack all my potential into something A4 or smaller!! I love all art that is done with feeling and colour. Especially paint, pastel and collage. I am inspired by many things. Nature mainly, I love bees, ladyutterflies, octopus', mushrooms, birds, deer, Owls, animals, as well as ballet, the circus, magic, buttons and fairytales. I also have a small fascination with the great British tea party!! I love teacups, the union jack and ditsy floral prints.

I have mountains of art and craft supplies, everything I need to make an amazing postcard/ATC/mail art swap happen!

Lastly, I must add that I nearly always used recycled materials. Expect used wrapping paper, magazine pictures, old envelopes etc, not expensive cardstock!!

I just want to put it out there that I am a vegetarian!! In case I join any recipe swaps, an in the highly unlikely event that something depicting hunting etc should be sent to me!! I am totally against any form of animal cruelty.

I spend most days with my young children, going for walks, going to the park, flying kites and having picnics. In my own time I love to read, make things and sleep!!

I do love all crafts! My favourites to look at would probably be fabric - based collages, applique and cross stitch. My favourites to create are paper collages, drawings, scrapbooking, painting and glass painting. I LOVE mail art, especially things with an interesting or quirky theme. I am a jack of all trades definitely!! My favourite images are owls, mushrooms, birds, teacups, dragonflies, ballet shoes, woodland animals, rainbows and clouds.

ATCs

A short letter to my son Dylan. He loves receiving mail, and also loves trains, spiderman, angry birds, and cats.

My little boy Dylan would really like a pen pal. He gets a bit jealous of all my mail art, and would really like something to arrive in the post for him too! He's nearly 5, so writing at a basic level. If you have or know a child of a similar age who would like to write letters, please contact me and we'll swap addresses!
