Hi everyone. I am behind on my swaps but I will send them. Hopefully the last of them will go out by the end of the week, September 14th. I have included one or more extra things to thank my partners for their patience.

Almost 2 years ago, I retired early from my career as a teacher of blind children in Arizona to move home to Texas and care for my elderly mother. I love the desert and I still miss it but everything else here is good. Another good thing is that I finally have time to concentrate on my art since I am housebound right now. A web site is next.

My favorite colors for myself are turquoise, mauve, magenta and chartreuse for brights and ,for softer colors, blues like periwinkle and all shades of pink. I like the sparkly things. My least favorites are the muddy tones like browns and the muted colors. I use all colors in my art which tends towards fantasy and make-believe themes rather than modern.

What do I like? I like all kinds of glass beads and loose vintage beads from discarded jewelry. I like dragonflies. I like paper ephemera like old photos, postcards and greeting cards. I like all fabric and anything made of fabric that I can cut up. Unusual buttons, tiny anything that I can use for my dolls. I like anything to do with dolls. I would like copyfree images or some fonts on a CD . I like coffee - to drink, to smell, coffee images - anything coffee. I don't care of the swap items you send me are new or used as long as they are usable.

What I don't like: anything that goes on the skin. I like smelling the fragrances of things like soaps but I can't actually use them - sigh - I keep my dermatologist in business with my fussy skin. I am not much of a candy fan. I have just never liked it but salty snacks are yummy.

I like the bohemian look and I am a Frida fan.I am not too much for the cutesie or ruffles look.

I like country music and folk songs. I have always especially liked Emmy Lou Harris and Texan Willie Nelson.

One of my favorites is the Robin Williams 1998 film, What Dreams May Come. The effects are spectacular!! I like period movies or any movie with beautiful costuming.

I like the who-done-it shows like Law & Order and all the CSIs. I also watch PBS often, especially on Saturday when the craft shows are on.

I am an experienced dollmaker. I make lots of different dolls. Nowdays, I am making artdolls from prosculpt and miniature animals from mohair and other materials. I have been making dolls for a long time so I decided to pursue other interests too. I make lampwork beads, jewelry, and I dabble in polymer clay. I want to try my hand at ATCs.
