Love to make atc's & art journals as well as customized bookmarks & magnets, small pictures, cards, scrapbooks & silly verses for friends. Build hardcover notebooks from scratch, scrolls, mobiles and assemblage mini-shrines. Recently joined online communities c/o ART, Artella, and Altered Artists of Canada. Sketch, paint, play, experiment and learn, learn, learn.

Retired college prof of English Lit and related subject matter, have M.A. in English and Art. Live with a dog and numerous cats in an urban house surrounded by sprawling woodland. Love my newfound art pursuits, hate housework, adore sleeping late and being a night-owl after so many years on a schedule. A longtime widow still basically in love with my late husband, I have two adult kids, a handful of cherished friends and far too many interests. Energized by a huge appetite for learning, and for new experiences. I am also a storyteller specializing in mythic and quirky tales to tell to adults (not x-rated, just grown-up!).

Favourite books and movies...oh, sooooo many! The LOTR trilogy, Narnia, Excellent action flicks and animated features, Lady Hawk, The Red Violin, the Before Sunset and Before Sunrise movies starring Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke, fine drama, wacky comedy,classy sci-fi. Recently thrilled by Pan's Labyrinth and Away from Her as well as The White Masai. Love to read good writing ranging from mysteries to romances to top-level "lit" in all forms. Currently enjoying works by Michael Connolly, George RR Martin, Alice Munro, and Isabel Allende.
