Hi! I'm Zoie. I'm a 22 year old ex-student from Tennessee. I was studying English and Mortuary Science but had to drop out in 2010 due to some issues at home. Now I'm working to pay off fees so I can complete my degree.

I've just signed up for Swap-bot but am astounded that I hadn't found it until now! I've always loved sending and receiving mail. I'm really looking forward to jumping in.

I like really cliche classics (Peter Pan, The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Divine Comedy), not-so-cliche classics (Candide, Winesburg, Ohio, A Confederacy of Dunces), young adult fiction (Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Paper Towns, Looking for Alaska, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Hairstyles of the Damned), memoirs and biographies, and just about everything in between. But what I love most are reference books; I could pore over them for ages. Any subject will do (honestly), but my favorites are forensic science, religion, and theatre (particularly design and costuming).

I'm not a film buff. There are lots of movies I've never seen that everyone is supposed to have seen in order to be considered human. My collection of favorite movies is all over the place, but I'll name a few: The Virgin Suicides, Amelie, anything by Pixar, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Garden State, Riding in Cars With Boys, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Homeward Bound, Now And Then, Finding Neverland. Oh, and almost any and every movie musical.

The Decemberists, The Smiths, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie, Green Day, Bis, Nick Drake, Sufjan Stevens, Matt Costa, Iron & Wine, Driftless Pony Club, Modest Mouse...Don't let this list fool you. I like quite a lot. My current passions are old country and bluegrass. I also like showtunes. Like my favorite movies, my favorite music is a hodgepodge collection of various things that tickle my fancy. I'm pretty much down with any indie and folk.
