Response: It is aluminum foil tape intended for use on heating and air conditioning ducts, purchased at the local big home improvement store. The only size that was big enough for the full face of an ATC they had there was thicker and intended for outdoor use. I usually use India Ink (black) on it then wipe it off to leave a black inlay. You can also try acrylic black paint. I also intend to try alcohol inks on the metal tape. I used a $3 embossing took from the craft store to make the impressions with. You can draw or write freehand. I have also put a magazine page on top then traced the paper and the impression comes out below on the tape. You can use stencils also. Or put a rubber stamped image on the metal tape then trace over the design with the embossing tool. Have fun!
